This business has gone down the drain. I have been a customer for 6+ years for simple watch battery replacements. My latest visit on Dec 26 went horrible. Dropped off 5 watches to have batteries replaced. after picking them up, 2 watches backs were severely scratched to the point where there is rough metal edges exposed. He also scratched two quarts and broke the hand off one of the chronographs. Have tried calling to discuss this over the phone after realizing when i got home and there has been no answer and cannot leave a message. stay far away from this business.

I can't enough great things about my experience with Charlie at H&E. I've been there twice now, and both times Charlie went above and beyond to provide great service. He was not only professional but also very personable. Its rare to find someone who genuinely cares about their craft and customer satisfaction these days, but Charlie truly does. I highly recommend...10 out of 10

Today, I had met Charlie, Eugene's son, who took the time to explain how he would bring an old cuckoo clock back to "life". I'm so happy that I and my family can still expect the expert and professional service of 2nd generation H & E!

Stay far away from this place. I gave Eugene four cuckoo clocks with minor problems and he brought them back with major problems. None of them work at this point and he charged me a fortune. One strikes the wrong number of hours and has chains of different lengths, one has the music chain stuck and missing just about all the numbers, one has flaky animation and has to hang crooked in order for the pendulum to work, one strikes the wrong number of cuckoos on the hour and he practically cemented the hour hand onto the clock. He also took a large number of the numbers off the faces of a second clock, probably to use for other clocks he has. I not only am leaving reviews but reporting him to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs and my lawyer suggests suing him. I want my money back, the movement he took and replaced from one clock, the numbers he took, and more. I have had other people to repair my clocks who weren't ideal but this one is an out and out crook and inept as well.

I have a grandfather clock that was hitting one of the notes too low. You could just barely hear it. The clock was working great. He came to my house and told me he couldn’t guarantee he could fix the one note in the chime. I told him to try. After 15 minutes he said the gears were all worn out and if I want it to work right he has to rebuild it for $800. There is nothing wrong with the gears or the clock, it was just one note not sounding right. He charged me $200 and the problem was NOT fixed. After he left I played with it for ten minutes with a screwdriver and pair of pliers and it’s working great now. I will never use this guy again. I gave one star because there was no option for zero stars.
