Cute exhibits and pictures of its CCC past. Nice selection of stickers for your water bottle :-). Plenty of parking here and across the street. Nice water fountains, bottle fillers, and bathrooms.
Also: Go behind the building and take the trail down to the dam and waterfall. Very very pretty in the morning hours. A lot of people were there taking pictures and selfies.

Excellent exhibits to depict the CCC's integral involvement in the formulation of what became Pocahontas State Park, Virginia's largest. The Chief Ranger, Visitor Experience (can't recall her name, but she was on duty on Saturday, December 28), did a wonderful job of ensuring visitors were informed about the history and exhibits, and that their questions were answered).

This museum is the most complete account of the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) activities in a local region I have experienced. Virginia should be proud of what has been archived and displayed for the public to experience. While most people seem to come to the location to access the many hiking trails that start at the museum. Most do not seem to realize the added experience the museum offers.
There is a volunteer guide in the museum to answer all your questions and to share her knowledge presented in the museum.
The exhibits are fascinating and easily examined up close and personal.

Great piece of info and history on the CCC in building the park or before it was a park. Park ranger was knowledgeable and friendly in talking things CCC. Some original items are there and info.

I wish they still have that old survival CCC education going then computers just educate kids live!! So kids can see there more life then just a computer or tv.
