It is part of the First State National Heritage Parks sites. Don't forget your Passport Stamps too.

The Green in Dover is a walk back into history. The Old State House has been restored to its original design as it was changed over time.

You are permitted to go through all the rooms and the overviews of the rooms. Chairs and desks are setup like they are awaiting the assembly or a judgement.

I want to thank both Susan and Steven for their time in explaining the history.

A fun site on the national park tour of DE. Knowledgeable staff, great tour, and the green is such a cute part of town. I recommend walking around and reading all the signs!

They did a great job rebuilding this in 1976. The free small tour was informative. I love the stairs and they have pictures of this place after it was remodeled to a Victorian style in 1873.. The court room is on the 1st floor and former state's legislative chambers on the 2nd floor

This historic building on the Dover Green was built in the 1790's. They offer free tours that take about an hour. You don't need to reserve tickets in advance.

I popped in for an impromptu visit while just walking around and was immediately greeted by Gavin. He gave me the most wonderful and thorough tour, and it was such a delight. Anytime I have visitors to Delaware, I will be bringing them by! So happy I stopped in.

Stopped in for a tour and was so impressed by the young woman who gave us a tour! The building itself is magnificent, but the enthusiasm and knowledgeability of the tour guide made the experience so incredible. Tours are offered on demand as soon as you walk in, so no need to schedule a time or come in on the hour (however, the walking tour, which is separate from the state house tour, leaves on the hour). Overall I had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone! (No public restrooms in the building, but there is one available nearby at the art museum. Plenty is parking available both in front of the state house itself and on the side streets nearby.)

This is a great place to learn about history in a setting that reflects the setting our forefathers lived in. The staff is very interested in helping you understand the events that took place in this building and how the building has changed over time.
