Connie and the crew are wonderful! They were very welcoming as we begin the transfer process from the NM VA system. Very responsive to our unique and complicated needs. We feel extremely fortunate that my husband is under their care.
I know people get frustrated trying to reach a human on the phone. That seems to be true of the entire VA system as well as every other entity you try to call these days, but if you can use Myheathevet to communicate, I find they’re pretty responsive.

I have experienced excellent care at the alamosa VA clinic. Connie and the RNs, the technicians and even the receptionist are the best in the VA clinic system. The telephone problem is not with any of the personnel within the clinic it is a result of incompetent leadership at the VA hospital in Aurora Colorado man dating how clinic contact must be made through the main call center at the big. Until this change it was never a problem to get ahold of anyone at the alamosa VA clinic.

The doctors and nurse practitioners are excellent at their jobs. The problem is you can't never get anyone on the phone. I literally called everyday for a week with NO ANSWER. Its very sad in these liberal leaning places people on MEDICARE AND MEDICADE are treated faster and with better care! Smh....Colorado is slowing turning into California!! Very sad!!!!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE VA!

My mind is refusing to get over my visit there this summer when I stopped and asked to be seen.

The employees there REFUSED to even let me in to see someone. All because I could not provide a local address.

They talked down to me and were quite disrespectful towards me.

As a 100% service connected disabled veteran I have NEVER dealt with anything like them before.

She actually told me that "The problem is that you are homeless..."

SINCE WHEN DID THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION STOP HELPING VETERANS BECAUSE THEY ARE "HOMELESS".

I prefer Nomadic myself!

They treated me like was a peice of trash on the street!

I had planned on buying land locally but left Alamosa immediately all because of them!

When I am in Colorado again... I will NEVER try to use their VA system again! Even if I am dying.

I would rather die behind a dumpster being the homeless trash they treated me like!

This is the worst VA Clinic in the whole nation. You call to get prescription refills and they don't return calls after leaving detailed mesaames. You get on the phone and they want to rush you off and give you excuses. I'm actually having to drive to Colorado Springs or Denver VA emergency room to get my meds for gout. Thn you tell them you are in pain and they want to schedule you a week out to see the doctor! Then they tell upuyhold on to transfer to a nurse snd it goes to vouce mail. Why in the hell did I serve? The staff at this facility doesn't care one bit about veterans!

From the time you first contact Deborah for your appointment, you feel that this is going to be a very positive experience, and Dr. Varnado and his staff do not disappoint….
This is one of the most caring VA facilities I have ever been treated in. The wait times are minimal,
and the care is professional, personal, and friendly; whether you are seeing Dr. Varnado, his nurses, or the therapist, Ms.Candice.
What an excellent team! I feel very fortunate to have such a great little clinic right here in Alamosa

I'm new to this clinic so I'm not sure my experience is the same as others. All my medical concerns were addressed in a professional manner. The area that needs to be addressed is communications. I've have had problems reaching the clinic by phone (which can take several days) or by email. I believe I should be able to talk to the medical staff in a reasonable length of time, but I can't. I'm beginning to regret moving to Eastern Colorado.

Probably the worse VA I've ever been too, can't ever get someone to answer the phone, so I go to the office and they just want to rush you out. They say they can't make appointments in person anymore and I HAVE to call and leave a message but then NEVER CALL BACK, you can't make a hearing appointment in person or talk to the person that does appointment even though they are there, you have to call them....... But again won't answer the phone
