Dr. Register demonstrates profound care, dedication, and compassion for her work and her patients. She thoroughly explained the surgical procedure, its importance, and necessity. She carefully reviewed both the best- and worst-case scenarios, post-operative care, and potential life changes, including expected limitations and improvements over time.
During my first post-operative appointment, she graciously answered further questions while examining the surgical site and performing a dressing change, allowing my husband and me to observe and contribute to the assessment of my healing.
As fellow nurses, it was a pleasure for us to observe the seamless collaboration and mutual respect between Dr. Register and the nurses, staff, and nurse practitioner. All demonstrated evident compassion for the patient and mutual appreciation for each other. This harmonious atmosphere was truly heartwarming, a refreshing change from what we often encounter in healthcare behind the scenes. Their dedication, genuine care, and excellent bedside manner inspire great confidence and peace of mind should I require surgery in the future.
Through the years, I have been fortunate to care for many post-op patients, following the orders of several great surgeons at Crisp Regional. Now, as a post-op patient myself, I proudly give my review of Dr. Register and the entire surgical team, as well as the amazing staff at Surgical Associates. Each one deserves five gold stars and more!
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Culpepper of Surgical Associates. He is truly one of the exceptional surgeons I referred to above, having had the pleasure of working with him in the past, following his orders of care in the ICU and the medical-surgical floors. His insights and suggestions regarding my current ongoing medical conditions and treatments, discussed during his weekend on-call rounds, may very well prove to be the much-needed treatment options that have yet to be tested. I am confident that under Dr. Register’s care, my recovery from this surgery will be smooth and uneventful, leading to even greater success in my health and well-being down the road.
