If you are into maritime and local history that relates to Lake Erie and the surrounding area, then you will enjoy this place. The museum is small but packed with exhibits and displays. I particularly liked the pilot house area of the museum. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are exhibits on lighthouses, lake shipping and industry, the Ashtabula great train wreck, ship models, and more. It has a bit of everything.

Very nice museum. I enjoyed the Titanic exhibit, sea glass and history of the Ashtabula Train 🚆 Disaster. Friendly staff. Interesting items at the gift shop.

Nice stop to view the harbor and the lift bridge. It was closed the day I was there but the do have some displays outside. A distant view of the lighthouse, which you would need a boat to get close to.

This is the first time I've ever visited this museum, and I grew up here. Boy was I missing out! If you're interested in Ashtabula/maritime history this is a wonderful place to visit! The history they have packed into this place is amazing. I can't wait to go back next year.

Great maritime museum, some really exhibits, the hulett model was amazing! If you enjoy Lake Erie and shipping history this is a must visit!
