I wouldn’t even rate this place one star. I just couldn’t choose 0. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The doctors and nursing staff are uncaring. The wait was longer than 12 hours and the doctor refused to come to the room to discuss progress. My daughter in law literally got worse the longer she waited and the doctors and nurses did not care. They didn’t check on her and didn’t notice she spiked a fever. They said she needed emergency surgery but they needed to organize everything. Yet, nothing got organized, planned, or done. All the tests and diagnoses had been sent over from another terrible hospital and they still couldn’t figure out what to do! When she was leaving to go to another hospital for actual treatment they became rude and rough. Forcibly removing the IV it took several nurses and about 20 sticks to put in. First clue of incompetence there! Maybe they need more training maybe they are just terrible medical staff. If you WANT to die by all means come here. But if you want to get help and live go ANYWHERE else!! This is a terrible and incompetent so called hospital!!i!

This is by far the most unreliable and worst hospital I've ever seen. They transported my son to an entirely different hospital without telling me ANYTHING. Not the address, not the city, NOTHING. Nurses would frequently harrass me and my son for doing absolutely nothing. This hospital needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY.

PLEASE NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL EVER.

This place is the worst hospital I have ever been too! In my 60 years have I never seen a place operate like this, they make you feel unwelcome from jump street! Being a disabled Vet, I have a pacemaker, an various joint replacements, when you enter security you are talked to like an idiot, empty pockets, go thru metal detector, then get wanted, even though you have medical cards to prove you have metal in your body! I have never seen security this tight on any base that I ever serve at! Or any other hospital I have went to! Not even Mass General has this type of security! This dump is a joke!

what is the problem with the emergency room. My son was there last night for 5 hrs. waiting for a bed any finally left because he had to go to work the next morning. Tonight, he got there at 5:30 and is still in the waiting room and it is 9:355 pm. The emergency room has gone downhill since atrium took over. Noone should have to wait hours to be seen. Last night they said only 1 doctor and he was making his rounds? Really let's get better response time before some dies because they had to wait hours.

Honestly the worse experience I’ve had. We been waiting for 2 hours in the leaving room. All they did was a blood test on my mom and they have us waiting. My mom was on severe pain the whole time. The first thing they ask was for her social. My mom forgot her social # at home and she doesn’t not know it by memory. It was at that moment that they just didn’t care about her anymore more. We ended up leaving without they calling us back.

We’re so thankful for the ER staff! We ran in terrified and they met us with kindness and empathy. They immediately started working on my son and helped me understand what was being done and why. There were so many people in the room at one point but they let me stay right by his side, when possible. They did everything they could to make sure my son was going to be ok before we were discharged. Again, thank you so much!

Had orders sent for tests on Thursday, went to hospital Friday at around 1 to get labs done. The ladies at the desk couldn't find them and I left . Got in touch with my doctor and they refaxed the orders. I called the lab and they had orders. I went 30 miles back to the hospital on Monday at 9 am and again was stuck at the ER desk saying no orders we can't help you. So I again left called my Dr and they said they had been sent. Called the lab a nd they again said no problem we have your orders come anytime we're here all the time. So I again went 30 miles back to the hospital and told them the lab said to come back they had the orders. The ladies at the desk simply said we can't help you there's no orders. So I told them who I talked to in the lab and asked them to call them. They wouldn't do it and said no one in the lab has that name. I went outside and called the lab , got the person I talked to in the lab on the phone and went back in. The girls wouldn't talk to their own coworker to try to work it out. After loosing my temper one of them finally talked to the guy and after 30 minutes I got past the ER desk to the lab.
The lab staff was wonderful and did a great job.
The people at the desk were rude, indifferent and simply didn't care. Plus they seemed as if they hadn't been trained properly on the computer system as they couldn't find any information.
I will never set foot back in that facility. Worse experience I've ever had at any medical facility. They didn't care if they had my business or not so they will never again.
Again the lab staff was great. I just couldn't get past the desk to see them due to the indifference of a couple desk people who obviously didn't care and wasn't trained.

I am so pleased I'm excited. I am from Wilkes County but I live in Kernersville. Over the 48 years that I've been gone from the county I have heard nothing but negative thingr544t www w 24s about the hospital. Even as recently as this past Saturday. However, my experience has been totally different. I found the facility to be clean & comfortable. The staff was extremely nice, professional and attentive. The doctors were informative, spoke to us with clarity and showed mom lots of patience. I wish I had started keeping names when we first arrived but I didn't so I will probably miss a few of the staff names we initially encountered but Dr.'s Pate, Zangrilli & Sidiqqi were awesome. Their supporting staff was pretty darn amazing too. A big "thank you" to the entire staff from the Williams family to NaKayla, Rebecca, Kelsey, Barbara, Melissa, Victoria, Elizabeth, Lisa, Kelsey and Connie. Y'all Rock!
