You can't miss the Beaufort Museum docent-led tour at the aresenal. Tom Kelley led our tour, filled with rich historical details and some dramatic stories. He certainly knows his stuff and even showed us some great places to eat during our visit. We much improved our American history knowledge after this tour.

The history museum is in a very cool location and has some good information about the local history. I would probably rate it a 4 if it wasn't for our outstanding docent, Aileen! She basically gave us a private tour through the museum and she was a wealth of knowledge. She made the experience so much more educational and enjoyable than just walking through and reading the signs. Her passion for history was contagious!

For a small community museum it’s okay. We enjoyed the exhibits they do have. It feels like for the history the community has it could be more. But the docents are knowledgeable, friendly and able to make the visit memorable. We would go back again.

Very disappointed that your museum is closed today. I'm assuming that it's due to the dusting of snow on the ground. We were able to drive around the city just fine so I'm not sure why your employees couldn't get there.

What a hidden gem this museum is! Our tour guide was the best. He was great with the kids and really gotten involved in the history of Beaufort, asked them questions and had their attention the entire time. They even gave them a scavenger hunt sheet they could look for as we talked. Win for a history tour for us. Visit this place!

We had a wonderful walking tour with the Ranger and his assistant!! He was very knowledgeable and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beautiful Beaufort by the Bay!!!
