My mother recently went to the hospital with a friend, for very elevated glucose and sepsis from a uti. I am her activated power of attorney and I called four times to try to talk to someone to go over medication’s so they are aware of what she takes because she had brain surgery 3 months ago. No one called me back. I had to insist on talking to a nurse and if I wouldn’t have insisted, they would’ve given her a lot of medication that she no longer takes. The friend that went with advised them to please call me to go over medication and get recent history. They did not. When I went to hospital the next morning, it took me to go through her chart from my phone to let them know that her magnesium level was critically low and she needed to be treated for that, her cardiac troponin, levels were also elevated and they weren’t worried about that either( UW Madison was checking this level every hour )Beloit also went on to tell me that well she had brain surgery two years ago right? No three months ago. At that time I immediately removed my mother from the hospital and took her to UW Madison, which is the best Hospital around if you care about your family and want them to have the best care do not bring them to Beloit Memorial Hospital. I worked for Beloit health system for years and it is not a place that you should bring your loved ones. Dr Ebo is a horrible doc who does not care at all. Shame on you Beloit hospital. Very happy I took my mother else where to get the help she needed.

I’ve been here a good amount of times. This past weekend I had an allergic reaction, when I went in the doctor was nice asking me questions and the nurse came in to draw blood, I have really good veins and told her where to stick the needle in, she didn’t listen and tore my arm up digging the needle in me. She tried to go to a different spot on my arm and I told her no, the Dr came back in and was rude saying she was gonna refuse me service if I didn’t let her draw blood, so I asked for someone else. The other nurse was so nice but also had to stick me in 2 different spots, one of which is where I told the first nurse my vein was sticking out of. They didn’t find anything and I left with 3 needle marks, me taking allergy medicine resolved it. 2 days later and I’m sick now most likely from the hospital because I don’t go anywhere else. I tell everyone, Beloit is the place you go if you don’t mind dying. The bruises in the pic is from 2 days later.

Was admitted for an infection in my finger. Was the provided a room and everything was great up until this point. Was told my surgery was going to be the next day and proceeded to attempt to relax back and try and get some rest. I was then Interrupted by security and nursing staff telling my husband he needed to leave. So I left myself, when trying to figure out the situation I was told that my husband had been giving me drugs on top of what they had been giving me because we were both sleeping. Completely confused we both left and plan on never returning.

My better half was in the hospital for a broken tibia and fibula and one night she was screaming in pain for long enough for me to drive to the hospital and get up to her room. Karissa the hospital Supervisor that night ran into me at the ER desk and let me up immediately as she heard my better half on the phone screaming bloody murder in pain and told me to call if I needed anything. I get upstairs to find out that the nurse Tracy had called her insane for being in pain. I stepped into the hallway and said “Did you really just call her insane?” Tracy proceeded to say that’s not what she said and made all sorts of excuses and at that point we had both raised our voices at each other. No yelling but raised voices on sides. Another nurse or aid, a big bald guy(didn’t catch his name), yelled himself down the hallway that I wasn’t going to be yelling. I told him again with a raised voice that the nurse just called my better half insane and flipped me off. He proceeded to get in my face in my better half’s room as I was continually telling them to call Karissa. Once Karissa finally came she administered meds immediately. She was wonderful. She talked to Tracy and came back into the room to tell us that Tracy had admitted to Karissa she had flipped me off and called my better half insane. Karissa proceeded to move the two nurses to another wing and got a new nurse for us(Tina) who was also wonderful. I’ve now made numerous calls to the hospital complaining about what has happened and every person I’ve talked to including Sharon, the head of nursing, Tim, the CEO, and Tim’s assistant and every single one of them has tried to play it down and sweep it under the rug. Well my better half got a call today that the “investigation” was complete and corrective action was being taken. Given that I was also effected by the situation although I was not admitted as a patient, I never received a call for an update on my complaint. I spoke to Tim and he was nothing but defensive and said that supposedly Karissa said Tracy never admitted it, even though Tina was in the room when Karissa told us Tracy admitted to flipping me off and calling my my better half insane. Karissa also had to tell security outside of the room to leave, because Tracy had admitted to flipping me off and calling my better half insane. Not only that but Karissa said I had every single right to react the way I did when I got flipped off and better half called insane. Mind you I never yelled, never insulted, never anything other than say you don’t flip people off and you don’t call patients insane. At this point I will be getting in contact with DSPS and filing multiple formal complaints as to ensure any future patients are not effected by this asinine behavior from every parties behalf in the hospital. This is absolutely unacceptable from hospital staff on all ends. There will be action taken other than your supposed “corrective action” that was told to my better half then when I called Tim he told me nothing was happening since Karissa has now changed her mind and is saying that the nurse didn’t admit to her. Well, there’s security cameras littered in the hospital and DSPS will be more than happy to pull footage and prove that this did in fact happen, and THEY will take the corrective action needed to ensure the hospital can PROPERLY take care of their patients. Absolutely ridiculous behavior from “adults”. *Edit
You can also see for yourself from the overwhelming amount of 1 star reviews and negative feedback that this is in fact not a one time thing. Multiple people in the last 3 months alone have made complaints about the hospital staff even including doctors. I don’t know how Tim can “run” this hospital and sleep at night knowing his patients ARE NOT being taken care of to the industry standard, which is a MORAL standard. Disgusting to think he can sit behind that desk and call me a liar and move on with his day without a care in the world for the patient. Absolutely disgusting and revolting.

I wish more people would share there horror stories about this hospital. They’re getting worse and worse and no matter who you call they won’t do anything about it. This hospital caused my daughter to almost have heart failure at 10 months old. She had a rare disease called “Kawasaki “ with a fever of 105 and blood shot red eyes. They told me it was “viral: common cold” and to give her Tylenol. This place refuses to properly treat anyone especially people of color are neglected, mistreated, unheard. The nurses are great, the doctors however- Horrible. They need to just demolish this place and start fresh. Something needs to be done!

Went in level 10 pain. Got in good timing. Nurses great. Techs were great. The dr however, dr. Aberethy treated me like complete trash. He came in very abrupt and very intimidating. He asks whats wrong i explain. He listens to my chest i tell him i cant breath in further he says (mmhhmm okay...) I told him i had been taking the medication he recommended with in the past 2 weeks and didn't help. He suggested the other steroid I took before when I've had this issue before. I told him as well it didn't work for me. He says we'll how do you know it's not gunna work? As if I don't know what I'm talking about because im not a dr like himself. Told him because I've already been through it. Told him I would like to see a different dr. He tells me to get out and there are no other drs in the e.r.

So this is how we treat our community who is depending on them to help us Very disappointing to see people just collect a paycheck and not truly care about there job.

The picture is of the floor in the room which I was put in as well.

Walked into the ER with trouble breathing (preexisting asthma) and was told to sit down and wait. Indicated the trouble to the front desk and they told me they'd contact the nurse. 45 minutes of waiting to try and treat an asthma attack and nothing got done. Walked out since my body finally calmed down, but it's absolutely ridiculous I can't even get treated urgently for breathing problems.
