Well worth the stop!! We are traveling back through the Eufaula, Alabama area and decided to stop even though it was packed and we were in a hurry. Now we understand why it was so busy. I got a two piece combo (breast and leg) that came with mashed potatoes and gravy and a yeast roll. The leg was outstanding, but let’s talk about that chicken breast, which is always the driest part, pretty much any place you go, so a good fried breast is a mark, in my opinion, of a good chicken place. I’ve never had a chicken breast be that juicy and flavorful. I’d put this second only to Gus’s Fried Chicken (IYKYK). This is the first time, though, that I’ve ever had the meat taste better than the batter, which is saying something because the crispy batter was very tasty also. My husband got the chicken strips with fries and he said it was definitely some of the better of both he’s had in any fast food place.
My mashed potatoes were good. Not the best I’ve ever had but they were real and had great flavor. Loved the gravy but I do wish they’d put a little more of it on the potatoes. The yeast roll was super soft and fresh. The sweet tea is also worth getting. Sweet but not too sweet and a good solid tea flavor. Total cost for two people was $18.10, which is far cheaper than most corporate fast food chains these days!!!
In fact, I’m not sure how any of the fast food chicken chains could stay in business or even compete with Big H for quality, value, and service. There’s no way I’d darken the door of a Popeyes, KFC, or Bojangles if there was a Big H in my proximity.
We went through the drive thru so I can’t speak to the ambience of the inside but I can say that the staff was friendly and good at their job.
Overall, this place is a total winner and we look forward to stopping again the next time we’re passing through. I cannot say enough good things about my experience there.

It was a little early but the food was great. They actually tried to give us more food than we wanted. You get drinks, 2 meats, 2 sides and dessert. There is no room on the small round paper plate but they will allow you to come back to finish your order. They put the food on your plate for you. That keeps everyone's hands out of the food. I think it is very smart. Great people, food, and atmosphere.

Fried chicken is very flavorful & juicy! Drive thru special is around $5 and comes with 2 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, yeast roll & drink.

Good fried chicken! I wish I could have gotten the spicy chicken but they were sold out! 😀 the sides were fine. I’m sure I will return!

This was my first time going to big h,,,, I can’t express how the food was, I never ordered anything because of the staff was very rude and disrespectful to customers…… some of the employees need to be fired…..u can’t play with money and go make someone’s plate. THEY NEED GLOVES ON ……

I really don't like to review restaurants, but for this one, I'll make an exception. The fried chicken is incredible. Delicious Cole slaw and potato salad. Staff was very friendly. If ever back in the area, we will definitely stop here again.
