I stayed in the Male Adult ward back on '09, the original building. Voluntarily admitted. My stay was a brief <2 Months, yet had a monu-mental(haha) affect on my well-being. The wild events I witnessed and was privy to, as well as the CNA's whom were all fantastic, these experiences that will forever be cemented in my memory truly make me happy. I hope to one day go back to visit but in an observatory-nostalgic capacity. -I also wrote 150+ pages, detailing everything day after day. This was a great help, and I'll never forget the care I received. ❤️

Went here for 6 or 7 months it’s a great place I met the muffin man there he was my only friend well besides the mold that grew everywhere but that was more of a snack then a friend but it talks to you though so your never really alone oh and if you don’t be quiet they give you candy that makes you feel really good and the food is okay I guess I mainly ate the mold off the walls but sometimes they make chili and after you eat it it makes you go to sleep for like 6 days it’s great highly recommend

They have pros and cons but who doesn't. They disliked me cuz I like to talk and because I was beneath them they treated me like I was an idiot that didn't know what I was talking about. The Pros was, there are some nice ppl there.

I went in this place 23 years ago. They said I had a temporary psychosis. I wouldn't send my dog to this place. The staff messes with you place plays with your head. I come out crazier than I was ever. I absolutely have nightmares about this place. If you have a loved one do not send them here.

The loving Care that i found by the Staff while i was there is Most Wonderful Experience in my 60 years of life.
And the professionalism of All the Staff Also helped to Restore my faith in Humanity.
Great Food Also,Alot of programs tailored to enrich your life Can be found there.
Voted one of the Best hospitals in the Country My Stay there was life Changing and Now i look forward to the Future With True Hope and Love.

So for starters, the food, fantastic. The hamburgers made of crushed worms really hit the spot every meal, especially when added with the moldy, hard mashed potatoes. The clumps of hair in my food really added that extra texture. Sleeping on a slab of cold concrete and strapped down with duct tape really made it so my back hurt enough to distract from what they said was “insanity”, so it’s a win win. The employees were very kind! Mr Philip once wished me a happy 1/3 birthday by putting me in a headlock and choking me until i nearly died, which gave me a temporary purple tattoo on my neck. Thanks Mr Philip! During Christmas, they would hook us up to the electrotherapy machinery and crank it up on the highest setting until we felt like a christmas light! Saint Patricks is the most fun; the little leprechauns come to visit us. They’re rats. They try to hug us with their teeth! Last year they gave me a gift, but the said it was bad. They called it rabies i think? Instead of painting the rooms green, the rats would use the patients to splatter our red paint everywhere! The only reason I gave it four stars is because Santa never came around to visit, which really sucked. The employees are super fun though! They like to wrestle with the patients, but they shout a lot and use tasers. The other patients are great. They like to scream a lot at night, but I like to think they’re just singing. Mr Philip tased me a few times, but it’s ok, because it’s just like electrotherapy, and the doctors say that it helps!
