They do not accept walk-ins at the vital records department. If you show up to obtain a copy of any vital record, they stop you at the front desk, hand you a telephone number and require you to call to make an appointment for another day even though this service takes all of 5 minutes to perform.

I could understand having to wait in line, or even them taking your info and requesting 24 hours or so to prepare the document for you to pick up; but I’ve never experienced these barriers to obtaining a document copy at any other county vital records department.

When you do show up for your appointment, they still give you a number and make you wait in line, so clearly they’re booking several people in the same time slot. I had an 8AM appointment. I had to wait outside because the doors didn’t even open until after 8, and then I had to wait for the three individuals in front of me, who apparently also had 8AM appointments, to be served before they even got to me.

I never visited a government building/agency that will be as efficient as this one. I set up a last minute appointment to receive a birth certificate by lunch found an opening for appointment basis around 4:00 and walk out of the door by 4:03 with that I needed after walking in the building 15 minutes priors. Great work for the birth certificate department they know what they doing in there to include the lady in the lobby area directing incoming traffic/appoinents.

If I could give no stars I would. I just moved here about a month ago from New York. Person behind window 2 said each shot would be $21. I wasn’t sure if my insurance was active or not. My son needed a shot record from the state of Georgia and he also needed 4 shots. I wanted to see if my insurance worked so I gave them the card. They then say this is out of network so you need to pay the out of network price. Which comes to 431. I explained to them that I just moved here and didn’t know if the insurance was active. The woman that sat at window 2 and 1 said to me because they now know that I have insurance I have to pay the out of network price which is 431. They told me I needed to call the number on the back of my card. So I did just that. I called the number on the back of my card and they said my insurance wasn’t active, cut off was 9/11, So I told the nurse I wasn’t dealing with the ladies at the window. She went over and got the supervisor and she came out and told me I needed to pay the 431. I told her that my insurance was not active. She said to me my insurance would be active until the end of the month. How are you telling me when my insurance expires. I explained to her that I just spoke to my insurance company and they told me it expired on the 11 she still says no it will expire the end of the month. They are very rude I told her to call herself since she think I’m lying. She then told me if I call back she will speak to them once I’m on the phone. My insurance is expired so I should have been paying the $21 for each shot, that’s the bottom line but at this point why should I give you my money when you treated me that way. So I left. I will never go back to this location. Horrible service.

I’m annoyed because I purchased my daughter’s birth certificate & before she handed it to me she pointed out a watermark stating “that’s what they’ll be looking for” not once did she ask me to look over it & I’m so pissed I didn’t because the father’s name is missing which is crazy to me because I put his name on the form when I filled it out for her.. so now they say they’re backed up & not accepting PA forms until August?! It’s literally February. Like really? This why Trump laying yall off because yall not right. I would not have paid for a certificate if it had been communicated it wouldn’t be filled the way I insinuated.

I really appreciate Janeika for being such a great person! She took care of me from beginning to end and has ALWAYS been wonderful! She makes me feel more than comfortable and I’m grateful to have a nurse like her!

It’s 11:30 and they go on break at 12 they won’t even take anybody. I wanted to schedule and appointment and now o have to come back at 1 because they don’t wanna work the last 30 minutes it’s ridiculous
