The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered my many questions. We had a guided tour of the house and then were able to tour the grounds and museum on our own. It is a lovely place to visit.

Good tour. Great information. As a member of the Cherokee tribe, I am glad to see the honesty at this site of some of the atrocities that happened as part of the trail of tears. And even the Vann Family, who was quite wealthy…was still “removed”.

This Georgia State Historic Site is gorgeous! The grounds are well maintained, and the house is beautifully preserved. The museum and house are filled with unique artifacts so important to their time period.

There is a guided house tour with the admission fee, which is well worth the price. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area and enjoy history.

Great tour of the house. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the history lesson conversational and interesting. Great glimpse into an important time in Georgia and US history through the eyes of the Vann family, a prominent Cherokee family.

Took my 7 year old to learn some of the history in this area of the country, specifically of The Cherokee people (our ancestors). The tour guide was well informed and nice. The tour was fascinating and the rest of the property (with out buildings, more historical information, a museum and visitor center) was also really interesting. If you are in the area and interested at all in The Cherokees or the Morovian Christians, you will like this place.

Great well maintained historical sight . A lot of work has been put into the restoration, and a must see for anyone of native descent. The tour guide (Irena) was one of the best I have ever had. She knew the subject well and had great enthusiasm for the topic with out getting super political. Great job 👏

Stopped here on way to Knoxville. Park grounds are well maintained. I was only one on tour of house and tour guide did a great job. Didn’t get her name but she taught
at middle schools in Conyers GA. Again, another fantastic Georgia state park.
