This building was home to me throughout 6 years and 2 college degrees. My time spent in The College of Architecture and Design is such a huge part of my life now and forever. I cherish every moment here. Go Vols!

Not one for posting reviews but prospective students in the arch program should have more than just the sanitized version presented on pamphlets. Some professors are good but you have to be top of your class to get any of them. And there's a handful of professors that will generally make your life miserable and yell at you for asking too many questions or for being 2 minutes late once. The director and dean were highly impersonal at least in my time really didn't care about student experience. The school also shows very little to no support for students who can't afford to buy expensive software or laptops or materials, you essentially have to buy them or expect bad grades. There's a required study abroad most of which cost a minimum of 20,000 per semester which is more than what my tuition was for the year. There's some scholarships for this but not enough for everyone. In terms of student output most it is just kind of lack-luster , all of big talk and no work to show for it. Most graduates just end up working at local firms with very few getting jobs in significant firms.
