The Conrad Mansion is a beautiful place for a wedding! The added bonus of having lodging for so many people (wedding party & family!) right there on site is huge. It makes for such a relaxing experience, being able to set up in one space for the weekend. The tree-arched driveway for the ceremony was stunning! And the grounds all around were perfect for so many different photos. Absolutely adore this space! The sheep were a bonus!! <3 Only downside was the reception space did get pretty warm, but it helped when it cooled down outside a bit later in the evening and the garage doors were opened.

I loved getting to photograph weddings at the Conrad Mansion! It's such a pretty venue and so unique since the bridal party can stay right on the property. The basketball court is so cool and I love that there is an option for outdoor and indoor ceremonies. It did get pretty warm in the reception, even with the doors open but it was still a great time!

Nice place. I’m originally from Iowa. I was not familiar with Conrad. I see that it is a very small town. But I’m telling you, it’s an amazing place to have a private all inclusive wedding.where you and your entire small wedding party can stay at the same place…. And play some basketball. It has many bedrooms that make you feel like royalties! Along with the great game room , sauna, and epic movie room. I was blown away. We were there for my niece’s snowy wedding. And looking around I can only imagine how the weddings are in warmer weather.
On the other hand it can more than accommodate a larger wedding because even though it’s a smaller town there is actually a hotel just a few miles away to provide rooms for overflow! The venue is small and I do not know the logistics of capacity but I give a thumbs up!

We LOVED our stay at the Conrad Mansion! I’m a bit late on posting this as we got married in October, and I should probably be transparent that unlike others who have left reviews, the owners were not present when we were there. HOWEVER - Jeff was extremely helpful and responsive leading up to the wedding, and would answer questions at all times of the day which I really appreciated as wedding planning is very stressful and time consuming. And this used to be their home, so I can understand why they would be protective of it - maybe just be sure to communicate your concerns from other reviews with them before making a decision, but we don’t regret a single thing about booking here.

We chose Conrad Mansion as majority of our guests were traveling from out of state, including our wedding parties, so it was really important to us to be able to spend a whole weekend with everyone. $11k may seem like a lot, but majority of other places we were looking at with the amount of people we had (about 170) were still over $9k and those were for one day only, not including stay, where as this place we could have 40 people stay with us and it was for a whole weekend. Plus the venue is STUNNING!! Mansion is a little outdated but it’s still beautiful and extremely functional. We even had our rehearsal dinner onsite and prepared our own food for it to save money (catered for actual wedding though). All of our guests absolutely loved it and all of our friends have even talked about us booking it for the future as an anniversary get together!

We really wanted an outdoor wedding (which thankful to the weather we were able to get), but it’s nice to know that when you rent this place that you get the whole property so you have a backup plan just in case, or you can even do half indoor/ half outdoor with the garages in the carriage house! The staff that were on site for day of the wedding were awesome. And I’m apart of a fire performance troupe (Sabba Circle based out of Des Moines, IA) so it was really important to me to be able to have us fire perform at our wedding which they were cool with so I think your experience can really just depend on communication! We also had my friends (from Norsefyre based out of NE) do aerialist performances during cocktail hour and while people were eating which was a dream!

So many places for beautiful photos. So many ways to customize it to how you want. They even have sheep there which is unique, and we loved that chairs, tables, outdoor games, etc were included. We’ll be reminiscing on this weekend for the rest of our lives, and we’re so thankful for the Conrad Mansion and them renting out their home to us. ❤️ little tip that helped things run super smooth for us - be sure to get your bridal/groom parties to help with clean up! Between clearing out/cleaning up when leaving and checking rooms, and especially night of the wedding when they have to clear up the carriage house, remember that many hands make light work!! Night of the wedding and leaving the carriage house before they locked it up, we literally all grabbed all of our stuff and decor like 20 minutes before they had to lock it up and just brought it outside and sorted it from there/put it in cars since we were staying there. Treat this place like your would treat your home. Made it so we could truly enjoy our whole day - and since you’re there all weekend you can set up a day or two early!!! Hope this helps, and if you’re planning your wedding, congrats! Thank you Jeff and Kim! We’ll cherish our memories there for eternity.

A very special and unique wedding venue surrounded by some of the finest Iowa farmland. The Mansion was a perfect fit for both families and the wedding party and friends, all under one roof! The Carriage House was perfect for the rehearsal dinner on Friday night as well as for the wedding reception, dinner, and dance on Saturday night. The DJ, Brian? with Unique Events, did an outstanding job for the dance, as well as providing perfect audio for the outdoor wedding. Apres Bar Co provided a good selection of beverages and great service by their bartenders. The venue owners and their staff were all very friendly and worked with us, and the weather, to pull off a perfect November outdoor wedding ceremony, with a beautiful sunset as the ceremony ended. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a one of a kind location and mansion and multiple options for an indoor or outdoor ceremony. Lastly, as we did the rehearsal and were timing our wedding party’s processional, while playing “Elsa’s Processional to the Cathedral” by Richard Wagner, we were surprised when we noticed we had an unexpected audience show up(see photo). Apparently the flock of sheep appreciated the same music we did! Also, that sunset was the same sunset we enjoyed the evening as the wedding ceremony ended.

This place was awsome!! We had 60 people at one time and there was plenty of room. The pull out couches in one room need a little face-lift. I felt I was laying on the ground due to mattress being to thin. Waking up and drinking coffee listening to the sheep was great! Couldn't smell anything at all! It was well maintained. The basketball courts were good. Just wish we would have been able to keep shoes on as that is a risk for someone to fall. The media room and game room was just what was needed also!! Over all this is a great place for just about anything you can imagine.

Beautiful venue! Very versatile, a perfect place for any gathering large or small! The owners are so sweet and care so much about the success of your events! The drinks are great too!
