The visit to Cross Orchards is an experience that I will never forget. It contains not only the history of the Orchards but also a bit of history on trucks and construction equipment. My favorite part of the visit was being able to see and board the old Uintah Railway cars that are on display. I also enjoyed looking at the Grand Valley Model Railroad. I love history, I also love trains, and this place fulfills both of my interests.

This is a fun and free museum (they take donations, help keep them going) that has train cars, model trains (gvmrc), an orchard, silo, workshop, gazebo, bunkhouse, and many other displays. The wood burning stove was being used in the bunkhouse, which was a nice touch when the weather was so cool. The staff was friendly and informative. This is a great place to spend a couple of hours that has indoor and outdoor displays. Great living museum. There are restrooms here as well.

This is a real hidden gem of a museum!! We got to ride in a 1931 firetruck, they recreated old bunk houses and farm houses.
The best museums transport you to the past and this one for sure transports you. Absolutely take the time to see this place if you're able to!!

A great little, but big in history, museum of Western Colorado train museum. It had been 10 to 15 years since I'd been there & we were impressed with it & how much they have added.
Do not forget to ask the club members on anything train of the area.🙂
ps. there are nice tours of the property too.

The railroad club always does a great job displaying the trains. It's so fun to watch the trains! They always spark my imagination and fascination with the train inventors.

I went to help with a field trip, and I learned a lot. The volunteers are dedicated, patient, and very knowledgeable. I grew up in the subdivision next door and had no idea what an incredible place this is.

We went here for a car show and we got to check out the historic buildings that were also a part of Cross Orchards a century ago. It was really cool and you could tell that they put in a lot of work to make it happen. Would highly recommend.

I've been here only a few times. It's easy to find. And they have activities for kids to do. We're usually there to be with family at one of the booths that are set up here. Area is clean and pretty they offer little rides and a stuffed animal find for kids
