We had our home built in Kyle in 2022 by DR Horton (Southgrove community) and they used D&H Roofing as their subcontractor for all the roof installations here. We recently had high winds come through and had a lot of damage to our roof, and many other homes in the area. Since this house is just over 2 years old, the warranty is expired so we just have to handle it ourselves. These types of shingles should withstand winds to at least 60 mph, which is sad to say. Not sure how they are still passing county inspections with this garbage product. A quality contractor should not even offer these as it only creates issues for the homeowner, well ahead of the product's supposed lifespan.

I understand these roofs are made with the absolute cheapest materials of 3-tab shingles available, but there are clear craftsmanship issues when photos were taken. I see a nail (not even a roofing nail) sticking out of one of the tiles, and several areas where the flashing was not secured properly. No one has been on our roof since the house was built; its clear this is from the installation. You would think a roof should last for more than 2 years, but now we are looking at a complete replacement. I will be hiring another company to perform this work.

I do not recommend for any quality product install, only cheap builders should look at using them.

After some research, it is evident that it is not the roofing company to blame for the poor quality and known-defective IKO shingles that the homebuilder chose to use. IKO has sold these shingles for years, and now everyone knows why the homebuilder switched to Tamko after years of receiving many warranty requests for shingles flying off roofs well below their rated windspeed as documented by the homebuilder.

D&H Roofing installed the roof of my house back in December of 2021 as part of a contract for DR Horton. within a few months in 2022 the shingles were blown off by the wind during a rain storm and caused water damage inside my home. D&H Came out to fix the shingles and assured the issue would not happen again, well it did happen 2 more times. This last time it happened they said it was out of their warranty period and I would have to contact the shingle manufacture, unfortunately this is for most of the homes in our sub division that had their roof installed by D&H Roofing. Neighboring communities that were not done by D&H Roofing did not suffer anywhere near close to the percentage of damaged homes our community in Kyle did. I would look elsewhere for your roofing needs as this company will not do a good job.

Home roughly 3-3.5 years old. Shingles blew off. Read the other reviews from even years back. Not a new issue. Ongoing issue with this company properly installing. Was directed to the manufacture for shingle warranty claim as they D&H said they wouldnt be liable. DR Horton home, would recommend to stay far away from.

This company installed our roof on our brand new home (D.R. Horton contracted them to do so) in 2022 in Lockhart, TX (Vintage Springs). After the most recent wind storm on 03/04, 60% or more of our neighborhood sustained substantial damage. Wouldn’t you know, they don’t answer their phone. And from what I have read, I will likely NEVER get a returned call from the message I left. I also have been informed that this builder may have used material that was faulty to begin with, and is/was in a class action lawsuit of its own. Do NOT use this company. They do crappy work that does not hold up. And possibly faulty materials.
