He said fibromyalgia is a psychiatric disorder, not a rheumatic one, and refused to prescribe medication my partner has been taking for over ten years for it. Even after telling him our next psychiatric appointment was in a month, all he gave us was a 7-day supply.
He refuses to help us get a lymphedema specialist, instead saying we need to do blood and heart exams. He won't explain why he won't give referrals. He doesn't listen to us and our needs.

As a retired healthcare professional I can tell you, Dr Kimura is one of the finest practitioners in this area. I read some of he negative reviews and I can only say, if you had an unpleasant experience with him you must have been having a bad day. He has always paid the greatest respect to me simply because he listens rather than talks. He is methodical, kind and knows how to develop a a treatment plan guided by data.

Was ok at first appointment.. but soon after I found he didnt listen to my concerns...he would put his hand up...as to say...be quiet, this was not only rude, but he never did listen to my questions..answer them...or seemed concerned as to what MY needs were about my body and health...after all I know my body better than anyone. He prescribed meds. I didnt need nor had any reason for taking...and would never explain his reasons for them. If you didnt do as he "ordered" he clearly wasnt happy with you. So, after over prescribing medications and as I was told... his conflicts with medical board because of that... he without cause dropped me from his patient list, very rudely and unwarranted. Telling me I was "difficult". I assume because I DID question some of his orders, and didnt follow through with procedures that were not only expensive, but I didnt understand why I would need them. Then not allowing any 30 days of notice as far as medications he had been prescribing me. I wrote a letter asking him to continue being my doctor, meaning to continue to prescribe the medications I NEEDED until I could find someone else... he refused. Its very difficult finding a doctor that takes medicare patients. If you can find one suitable for my needs its months before being able to get in. So basically he left me without the any medications he had been prescribing me. Which with some, very dangerous and extremely unprofessional.
What happened to the doctors oath..to care for and heal people. Dr. Kimura seems to disguard his patients without concern for their health and well being, all because they didn't fit into his questionable and unclear practices.
Lastly, he has absolutely no respect or concern for the patients time. On three different appointments, I sat in the room...15-30 minutes waiting for him....as I could see him eating his lunch in his office. No regard or concern...or apology for his always at least 15 min. wait...this was after waiting in the waiting room for 15 minutes plus....and this was not the exception. ..but the rule! My time is as valuable as his, he clearly did not agree.
I thought doctors were to help and heal a person, not add un-needed medications that ADD more problems
Basically Dr Kimura is a doctor that I could not count on or trust that my health and well being are his top priority. Thats only my personal experience and opinion.

I want Dr. Kimura, and anyone who is looking for a doctor, to know that while I have respect for him as a medical professional, his business practices disgust me. The actions he took with me were predatory and unbelievably unfair.

I visited Dr. Kimura because I needed medication for ADHD. It is well controlled on a medication, have not changed in months, and am in very good health. Because I did not have insurance, I was asked to pay $200 in advance. He then came in, told me that he would not prescribe this medication, and apologized for not being able to help me. I don't blame him in the slightest for this, and he was polite.. though I feel I was treated unfairly all the same considering he knew he would not be able to help me when I paid in advance. My issue came up some weeks later when I got a bill in the mail from him for $60. I called him and tried to speak to him politely about it and get him to reconsider, but he played it off and made an excuse to get off the phone, telling me to call back tomorrow so I could be directed to billing (who would simply tell me how to pay the bill.)

Dr Kimuta has been my Doctor for years. He has safed my life more then once. I drive 2 hours one way to go to see him. Dr Kimuta has been very professional and friendly. I differently recommend him.
