Great lighthouse in beautiful location! Easy flat 5 minute walk from the road. Carry in/carry out policy. Certain sections roped off to protect nesting bird populations. Popular place at sunrise and sunset. Lots of seashells and bird wildlife. You can go up in the lighthouse for $5 between 10am-4pm. Highly recommend! We visited almost daily. Stay at the Harbor View Hotel across the street for spectacular views of the lighthouse throughout your visit. No bathrooms on site.

The place is insanely beautiful in my opinion. Not only the lighthouse but how you get there, and when you get there, there’s the beach and the lighthouse is on a sort of pedestal that you go up with some stairs and the view of the beach is amazing. I love lighthouses so for me the place is dreamy. I don’t think I can explain it well so you have to see for yourself!!

A stately white cast iron lighthouse that is the second one on this site. The original required the lighthouse keeper to visit by boat, until they built a wood causeway, which they later reinforced with a stone jetty. You can still see the jetty, which is surrounded by sandbar and trails. There's a nice beach nearby with views of the harbor. This lighthouse, like a lot of other local sights in Edgartown, appears in the movie Jaws, during the scenes on the harbor in Amity Town.

Super cool light house! My boyfriend and I rode electric bikes to this spot from Oak Bluff. Biking was an adventure- some bike lane area and some riding on the road with cars. We may or may not have taken a wrong turn or two, but we weren’t on a schedule. Unfortunately the light house wasn’t open when we went (maybe only open on the weekends)? We had a great time looking at the light house and the shoreline!

Beautiful lighthouse that requires a short walk from Edgartown downtown. So worth it. Pristine, clean, awesome view of the surrounding area.

You may not get out of your way to visit this place, but if you are nearby, then do it! It’s free (unless you want to get inside the lighthouse) and there are plenty of photo opportunities along the hike path that will create lasting memories with your loved ones. Plan 30 minutes to 1.5 hrs max for the round trip.

Great little lighthouse! Small stature, but big character. One might define it as "stout". Surrounded in a beautifully scenic and tranquil landscape amongst local wildlife and beach. There is a short boardwalk and sandy path walk to the lighthouse. No climbing here. Just enjoy the view from the ground.
