Such a cool place! I could have spent all day here. So many fascinating facts, amazing antique fire trucks, and lots of fun, interactive things for kids!

Having a little time before dinner in Hudson four of us took a walk on the Empire State Trail. We saw the beautiful buildings and grounds for the Museum of Firefighters. We walked around the grounds. When we got to the entrance of the Museum a woman came out and told us it was closing. We did get to meet Molly the fire dog who was on a walk. If you are in this area and want to take a walk, this is a great place. I hope we get back when the museum is open. Even without the museum being open it was a 5 star visit.

Great place to see the history of fire department technology and trucks. They have little TV stations with more history alongside certain trucks. Two levels, Handicap or stroller friendly with a ramp and lots of toddler/kid hands-on activities and stations.

Lots of antique fire apparatus and some beautiful, rare pieces. Vintage everything fire; leather buckets, trumpets, SCBA (leather lungs) and interactive kid exhibits. Friendly, helpful staff and gift shop. Thank you from Massachusetts

Saw that my library offered (free-to-patrons) passes to this museum, so we visited when we were in the area. I had no idea I'd stay so long or enjoy it so much! What a hidden gem! There was so much to see and do inside. I wish I knew about this place when my son was younger. Loads of easy to read/understand displays and fire trucks and apparatus presented to make it interesting for all. The museum is much larger than it appears from the street. Very clean and well maintained. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Allow at least 2 hours.

Visited in the morning, Friday I think it was, in late August. I don’t have any particular affinity or fascination with firefighting (just a lot of respect for the work), but I had a blast at this museum. It’s huge and there’s just tons to see and read. I would also add that this place really is fun for all ages. Our 3.5-year-old daughter loved doing some of the kids’ activities. We could easily have spent more time here - I think we stayed for about two hours. Friendly staff, quite good value for money. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, I would happily return here.

Absolutely amazing, there is a well dedicated museum to those heroes and the equipment they’ve been using from the very beginning of the existence of firefighters. those machines are so amazing that play a fundamental role on the museum history. Every single machine is a piece of artwork, Absolutely recommended, excellent for all ages.
