This university is absolutely beautiful! The student body is extremely diverse and there is ALWAYS something to do on campus. There is a Starbucks on campus and the dining hall has plenty of options to choose from. Professors at this university really care about their students! Albany is just a short drive away for students seeking more choices such as shopping, movie theater, etc...

Positive notes: the school sets out a good message; to be involved! There are a lot of fun events especially for residents. The Resident assistants are super helpful if you need someone to talk to, and have helped me to stay until the end. The freshmen coordinators are understanding and try to guide each student towards the right path. Like all places, there are the good and the bad. If you have the right resources and get involved within the first few weeks you will be set!

My son Ben loves Georgia Southwestern and the friendly southern hospitality. He has met many new friends and tells me his professors are excellent. He is a glass blower and this University has the best glass blowing facilities and studio in Georgia. I am happy that he is happy and is finding his place in this big world. Engineering school does not work for every math genius. He wants to be an artist, so be it.

My daughter attends and has had a great experience so far. Also the theatre dept. Is wonderful!!!! They let others use their theatre, which helps so much when your high school doesn't have one.

Good school very affordable for the price. I will soon graduate and then turn around and watch my son graduate. He will then transfer to the UF and continue his education thanks to the school for having his program and being very affordable.

great and challenging professors! The campus food is great too, But the dorms have mice and the staff will not do anything about it! They are very slow to get work orders in for maintenance also!!
