The Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center is beautifully designed and does an excellent job of educating visitors about the truth and history of Greenwood. Despite the tragic nature of this event, the museum/history center uses modern technology to present a crucial moment in Black history. Their visual presentations are impactful and resonate with individuals of all ages. I would have loved to have an experience like this when I was in school. The self-guided tour takes about an hour and is worth the trip to Tulsa alone!

Love this museum. You experience so many emotions visiting this place & seeing moments of past history.Hard to believe that a person could treat another human being so horribly. No one gets by or get away, for God is a righteous judge. OnlyvGodless people could inflict such pain. Back to the review of museum

To avoid repeating the horrors of the past, we Americans must truly learn about our past. This museum tells the story about the Tulsa massacre on Black Wall Street, an event in the 1920’s that none is us were taught about in school. Knowledge is power. You will not be disappointed.

I learned a lot and mourned the devastating loss that took place in Tulsa in 1921. The story was well told and the immersive displays were well done. I really appreciated learning more about what action has taken place since the massacre and the call to action towards reconciliation at the end. It left me hopeful rather than defeated.

Beautiful immersive exhibits. Very powerful experience. Be prepared to deal with your emotions and think about some tough subjects. Definitely not young kid friendly. The experience was wonderful except for getting scolded for my 2 year old running despite trying to keep him quiet and still.

What a wonderful museum in Tulsa. My kids loved the way the barber shop experience was so life like. My favorite spot was the reenactment of the night of the massacre. It felt like I was there as each individuals personal story unfolded. It was sobering in the historical depiction of what the Greenwood community endured but also a tribute to the hope and tenacity of the African American community. We walked around the historical buildings in the neighborhood, which was moving as well.
