I can't say enough great things about H & H! From assisting me in selecting my hens to helping me care for one of my hens through her recent acute illness, they have been patient, kind, supportive, flexible and knowledgeable. They not only provided much needed information to me to help care for my sick hen but Reyna actually made a house call since as she happened to be in my area. She gave my hen an antibiotic injection that likely saved her life! April was very helpful and responsive when I sent her daily updates on Cookie (the sick hen). I included a few pictures of Cookie's right eye Pre and post home visit antibiotic injection. Great progress towards recovery so we are thrilled! This company really cares about their hens, the environment in which they are raised there on site and their health and wellness after they are sold to newbies like myself. It is a bit of a drive from south Austin but I will never get my hens from anywhere else as long as I live here in central Texas. You are unlikely to find a better place or people in the area! H & H Poultry is the best in the business! H & H Poultry breeds beautiful healthy birds and the owner, April, is incredibly knowledgeable ... not to mention one of the kindest people I've ever met.

I've purchased many, many birds from them and have been beyond thrilled with every one of them (here's a pic of one of the latest gorgeous silkies I recently purchased there).

If you're looking for a top quality breeder that goes above and beyond after the purchase, H & H Poultry is for you! April is truly one-of-kind ... always willing to help and answer questions despite how busy she is. I highly recommend H & H Poultry!

April has so many different breeds and ages of chickens and is very knowledgeable and helpful. I only needed two pullets, yet she was so generous with her time by answering questions beforehand, helping me choose birds in person, and following up with me after to make sure everything was okay. She is my go-to breeder for all my chickens in the future.

April is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely willing to help, answer all your questions and help you craft the perfect flock based on your needs, space, egg color, etc.

She also had a really impressive selection of breeds of all ages. The prices are unmatched in our experience and most importantly the chickens were very healthy and noticeably well cared for.

Her homestead is set up so ethically and warm - the dream. We were so impressed we left with twice as many hens as we came for and are so happy.

I hate doing a bad review but it is heartbreaking for me. I loved going to H and H for the first time. Excellent service when I got there and I thought the place was so cool. I brought the pullets home and they started sneezing and coughing. They are dying one by one and and spreading it to the rest of my flock who were healthy and thriving before the new batch from H and H. It sucks!

I purchased 4 FABULOUS chickens from April! They are as tame as cats, fabulous layers and eat lots of bugs and grasshoppers - loved April as soon as we met- great poultry farm with beautiful exotic chickens as well!

I went out to purchase eggs and silkie babies from April. I didn't get the opportunity to meet her, but her assistant Reina went above and beyond to help me. There were so many different breeds of beautiful chickens and roosters, I wanted them all! We got 2 chocolate silkies (Tiramisu and Hershey) and 2 Seramas (Zephyr and Baby Buddha). All are very sweet and cuddly compared to some of my more hateful girls from a store in my town. It was a long ride to her farm, but it was scenic and enjoyable. Definitely will be going back! ?
