If you are looking for an honest, reliable outboard mechanic and teacher...Benny and H&H are for you. I bought my first boat nearly six months ago, H&H has been on speed dial in my phone for any quick questions or troubleshooting since...as much as I may abuse the privilege. They are the mom and pop operation that you only wish was more present in Austin today, and truly a great experience throughout the entire process. Benny has always answered at the drop of the hat, and has been more than patient and helpful with a newbie boat owner exploring a new hobby. If not for their reliable service, great communication, and overall expertise I'm confident i would not have survived boat ownership this long! Genuine guy who loves what he does, would recommend to anyone needing a top quality boat mechanic.

I engaged Ben about a problem I was having with my boat. He was incredibly helpful and generous with his time and knowledge. In the end, he charged me a fair price for a single part and sent me home to install after understanding my abilities. Problem solved. I would highly recommend H&H Marine.

Dropped off a small outboard to be totally gone through that was sitting for years. Gave H&H a blank check to repair/replace anything and everything required to make this motor run 100% reliable. Within a week of getting the engine back, the carburetor was dirty and the engine wouldn't start. Took carb apart, it appeared it was never cleaned. Instead of cleaning it, I bought a new carb for $35, one that also upgraded the engine from 4hp to 6hp. Now, it's been a couple months and I went to add fuel and it dumped it all out. All the fuel lines were cracked and dried out, they never replaced either, neither were the fuel filters. So I personally had to replace those as well for $20.

I paid these guys $600 because I wanted to support a small business. They did nothing but change the oil (I assume) and impeller (again, I assume) and it took over a month turn around. I'm starting to question if those were even done as well. $600 for what? A $10 quart of oil and a $10 impeller that takes 1hr of labor I put $55 in it myself to make it run like brand new and reliable, which would have been another hour of labor for a total of 2hrs of labor and $75 in parts which should have been what?
$300 total I was completely scammed/ripped off.

Benny was a life saver, he took care of my boat. He fixed my fuel pump, deleted my oil tank and my boat was back in less than 2 days. It works perfectly and I am so greatful. Nice guy, he definitely knows what he is doing and great at it.

I have a Carolina Skiff 19 that needed annual maintenance and repair, Ben came to me through a referral. Best referral ever! I trust him with my boat and equipment, he treated me fairly, and I’m very glad I found him. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Great and friendly service! H&H answers the phone when you call. I can’t say enough about how important that is, especially when you need quick advice! I was in a self-inflicted bind and H&H knew exactly what I did and how to fix it. Do yourself a favor, don’t go to the major shops, come here!

Ben did a great job. My starter motor stripped the bolts that mount to the engine and needed to be completely replaced. He removed the engine did the replacement, reassembled and when I went to pick it up it turned right over.
