Super unprofessional. We did our taxes for year 2024 with Harry. We met him at his townhouse public meeting room. We have a bit of a difficult set up with W2s, and an LLC - write offs. We put an excel spreadsheet together. Had everything broken down, and laid out as easy as possible. We received our federal via direct deposit ach, and he screwed up the state for it to be sent paper via check. We didn’t receive our state refund until October. Annoying but it is what it is.

This year - I send a text in January and ask for his availability. He replies back 2 days later and says the week of 2/3/25. I asked for 2/4/25. Two days later he asked me to call him to set up the appointment. I let him know I was traveling for work and would call when I got back.

The morning I get back I get an email saying he pulled my appointment and is no longer taking on new clients.

Frustrated my wife calls as now last minute we need to find a new person to put this all together. He starts talking nonsense on the phone with her so frustrated I take the phone to talk through it. Defend the accusations of me never reaching out. Now he’ starts rambling on that he wasn’t gonna hold the appointment for 8 days (while I traveled). It’s 2025 I set an appointment via text with his IPhone. He then says he doesn’t text. Meanwhile I have 40 texts from him last year asking for things, giving me an address, following up on docs etc. Then he says he doesn’t like my attitude, I don’t take direction well and he’s a solo guy and time is important. If that was the case why would you offer availability to begin with? Why would you offer when canceling to pick me up on a cancelation. Just rambling with excuse after excuse. U didn’t say a time on the 4th. “anytime that works for you” - I needed a deposit (didn’t last year) great how much, 3k no problem whatever book my appointment and tell me you need a deposit. Just excuses to not do the work. It was super weird. I’ve never experienced something like this in my professional life.

If you have the time, look elsewhere. 1. He’s supposedly booked through April. 2. he’s looking for apparently easy W2 only work, and he’s super unprofessional. Find a real firm that appreciated being paid $1500.00 to do your taxes and treats you like a valued client.

Edit - I’ve now added a few more photos since Harry decided to reply with lies of how he uses text. The pics will show through the text messages - Harry engages me 9 - NINE different days, via text messages. HE starts a conversation with ME via TEXT, 9 different days… then says he doesn’t text based on security other than to call, or directions. But this man couldn’t text back to confirm my appointment or ask a time while I’m traveling 2 weeks before the asked for appointment day. This seems like a guy who uses texts to me * Also you will see the last message where I’m questioning a fee. We discussed my wife not having a form while there and he pushed for us to file early without it. When we then received it, he wanted to charge a fee to add it. A fee that then cost us more overall (with his early filing discount) than if we waited to file when we got it. Make that make sense. I stand behind my original review - go elsewhere for the professionalism and the integrity of someone.

Seemed to do the taxes okay but was unresponsive to texts, calls, and emails. Made me feel my questions were invalid and lost some documents. Even in spite of the CPA shortage, I won't be back.
