I needed a strong built transmission for a street strip car. Paul built me a transmission for my needs and shared plenty of information along the way. I am glad to have found this shop and will work with them going forward for any transmission needs, and I'm driving past a lot of shops on the way I live in northern Colorado.

We had the best experience of getting transmission rebuilt at this place. Paul Harris is the best transmission mind and a thoroughly knowledgeable and experienced mechanic in the business. Greg was very helpful and courteous in answering all our questions and providing assistance through out the process. This company is a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work!

These guys do great work. Not the first vehicle I've had them work on and probably not the last. You get what you pay for and I trust them. They even had a 4x4 4L60E already rebuilt on the shelf so they just needed time to get it in the shop. So much better than my 300k one I roasted. Thanks guys!

When my first Powerstroke broke down a family friend Recommend H&M.
This being my first diesel truck I really had nobody that I already knew.
I read through the reviews before taking it and noticed the had some negative. The majority were a couple years back. As an electrical contractor I have worked for companies that have had bad reviews and how it’s to come back from. So I decided to give them a chance.

Upon diagnostic, they had discovered the high pressure oil pump had imploded and shot metal fragments through line.
Several parts, including the high pressure oil pump had to be replaced.
Truck set in their shop from late October early November to January when I was finally able to pick it up.

This is not being my daily driver it took a road trip with my father to New Mexico to discover back that the upper radiator hose connection had been broken and JB weld it.
Prior to my service at H&M this was I had not seen this where it was located.
This is not being my daily driver I notify them move forward, trying to give the benefit of the doubt again.
I notify them of what I discovered and did not make a big deal about it.

Fast forward eight months I am driving up Mount Evans and my truck dies when I let off the fuel pedal.
Assuming the high pressure oil pump was good since a 8 months prior.
My father and I attempted to replace the fuel injectors, dummy plugs and stand pipes.
Still after all this week had trouble starting the few times we were able to get it It substantially better.
After three months of fighting with it take it another shop that was recommended to me.
Mainly because my recent moved to the mountains made H&M how much more expensive tow.

At the shop in Golden after a couple of weeks, they notified me that they had discovered the air leak.
It was located on the snap to connect fitting that was installed with the high pressure oil pump done by H&M motors.
The notified me that the o ring had been installed with silicone. Overtime with heating this allowed the O-ring to blow out.

Once I receive the truck back, I then called H&M motors to notify them of what I informed.
I have worked with several shops on warranties. Some are great about following through with their promise others are.

Knowing how much reviews truly I really did not want to write a review about this.
But after several phone calls with H&M
It was clear that they were not willing to follow through on their warranty or even attempt to work with me.
I am disappointed about their approach on dealing with this me on the phone.
Even more disappointing that they did not even attempt to try to reconcile the.
Ultimately, it’s your choice on the shop that you choose. In my experience I wish I would have chosen another shop to use.
$7000 later and high pressure oil pump in less than a year.

Great service every time. I've had my diesel truck emissions done here a few times and since I'm always overdue for one, I add on an oil change/inspection. They're honest about what truly needs to be replaced right then (which was only once), and they tell me what may need replacement at my next regular inspection, even though I have those done at a place closer to home.
I've always been able to get an appointment within a few days and they get both services done in less than and hour (usually 30-45 minutes).. **I always go during weekday work hours... not evenings or weekends., so I can't speak to those busier times.

I highly recommend them for these services!

I have been a customer to H&M and I love those guys! They ALWAYS get it right! They price things fairly and correctly, I have never had any issues! I took my Jeep in for a misfire issue and they took great care of me. I priced the work with 2 other shops, including the dealership and they were right on the "money". I used to take my Nissan to a competitor and when I brought it to the H&M EXPERTS they found out that Keller Auto was not putting synthetic oil in my car and I just about lost it all! The mechanic flushed and fixed everything! The Nissan runs like new again! I also have my daughters Jeep serviced there! It has over 120k on it and they keep it running great!
Furthermore, they are always STRAIGHT FORWARD. They know what they are doing and I would trust them with any vehicle I own!

Thanks H&M!!

In the two service visits I have had with H&M I have been very impressed with the professional and friendly service. As this truck is my first diesel, Greg has really offered me balanced and sound advice on how to care for it. In this last visit they were more than fair in how they handled my repair work. They have won a repeat customer as I will be back. Thank you!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I feel like I should write one for H&M Transmission. My car had an intermittent flash "AT oil temp" light that was extremely difficult to reproduce, it comes on randomly, goes away immediately as soon as I turn off the engine, and will not come back on even if I turn on the engine right away. However, I was able to get the error code with a scanner, and from my research it was most likely an electrical issue (bad wire or connector). I took my car to one transmission shop, but they couldn't figure out the problem. Since H&M Transmission has a lot of positive reviews, I decided to have them look at it as well. I wrote down the error code and gave it to the ladies at the front desk, explained the randomness of the problem, and told them it's extremely difficult to reproduce with any consistency. One of them said, "sounds like an electrical problem." The ladies were very nice and seemed to genuinely care about your car issues. I think that's probably why H&M get so many good reviews. But the positive things about H&M stops there. They called me back later in the day and told me they couldn't reproduce the flash oil temp light (no duh!), but based on "the way my car drives", and my "transmission fluid is black and smells burnt", my torque converter is going bad and I'll need a new transmission. Estimated cost? $2200. Again, the ladies at the front desk was super nice and very sympathetic when I went to pick up my car. One of them even suggested that I should just drive it until the transmission finally goes out then tow it in for the new transmission, which sounded very sensible. I was fairly distraught about needing a new transmission, I didn't even bother to ask them why they charged me close to $100 for their "diagnostic", which basically was their technician driving my car around for a bit then checking the transmission fluid dip stick. When I got home, I checked my transmission fluid and it was bright red and smelled just like the day I put it in. Feeling a bit suspicious about their diagnostic, I took my car to the first transmission shop which didn't charge me anything for diagnostic and asked them to focus on the wiring. They still couldn't find any issues, but they told me that they were able to pull the same error code as I did. So I asked them to drop the transmission pan and check the wiring inside just to humor me. They asked to charge me $100 for the labor to do that which I agreed to. They didn't find any problems either, but they said they cleaned all the connectors in there while they had the pan off. It's been a month since they did that, and the AT oil temp light has not flashed again. So H&M charged me close to $100 for doing basically nothing, and wanted another $2,200 for something I was able to fix for $100. I'm never going back to H&M again.
