I went to the emergency room three days in a row and still wasn’t admitted, despite the excruciating pain I was in. I was experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Honestly, I can’t overstate how intense this pain was—it was likely the worst I’ve ever felt. Before I got sick, I weighed 130 lbs, but in just three days, I lost 30 pounds because I couldn’t keep anything down. Now, I’m only 100 lbs, and my ribs are visibly showing, which shows just how much my body was suffering during this time.

The first night, I went to the ER, and the doctor and nurses were incredibly kind. They ran several tests, but couldn’t find anything wrong. They diagnosed me with an ovarian cyst, which they said wasn’t a concern. I went back the next day, as the doctor had instructed me to return if the medication didn’t help. At this point, my condition had worsened. Once again, they couldn’t find anything concerning, but they told me to come back if the pain got worse.

By the third day, I could barely function. I was crying and dry vomiting, unable to keep anything down—even water. I went back to the ER in the morning, and this time, I saw a different set of doctors and nurses. Unfortunately, they were not kind at all. They treated me as if I was overreacting and my pain didn’t make sense because they couldn’t find anything wrong. They ran more tests and said they were going to admit me.

But just an hour later, the doctor came back and told me the cause of my pain was my ovarian cyst. I explained that I had already been told this by the previous doctor, who had assured me it wasn’t a major issue. The doctor then changed his tune, saying, “Oh, it’s bleeding.” After doing some research and consulting with my OBGYN, I learned that the pain I was experiencing could only occur after an ovarian cyst ruptures—but I had felt the pain before they claimed it ruptured.

Despite the fact that they initially told me they would admit me due to the severity of my pain, they sent me home instead. The medication they prescribed didn’t alleviate my pain, and I was still suffering immensely.

While the doctors and nurses during the night shift were warm and compassionate, the morning shift was rude and seemed disinterested in my care. It felt as if they were more concerned about getting me out of there than addressing my pain. After this experience, I’m not sure I will ever return to that hospital.

My husband was in the hospital for a week and all the staff was so great especially the nurses. They kept checking on him and asking us both if we needed anything. It was so nice to have a private room and it was so clean. I'd you need a hospital, this is the one to go to.

I was in the hospital for a few days. I have no complaints. Everyone that took care of me, including the doctor was very kind. I was informed what they were going to do and answered any questions that I had. Even the meals were good.

Hospital was full. No rooms in ER. I was placed in hallway with many other patients. I understand being busy. I laid in a very high traffic area of hall for 4 hours. Many nurses and other staff walked by me. No one asked if I needed anything, was in pain- nothing. I was waiting to get a room upstairs due to needing gall bladder out.
