Definitely a nice place to visit if you are a history aficionado. City of hemet is definitely full of it. Most items here if not all, were donated by local residents. Its free but they accept donations which I know they would appreciate. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11-3. Come and support your local museum!

First time visitor to this former railroad station converted to a museum. It was packed full of information and memorabilia of the Hemet area from the late 1800s and forward. Docents were extremely helpful and Docent Virginia is a direct descendant of the early family of the area. She is a true delight. Small place with lots of character.

This is a nice small Museum to visit with your family. Anyone that lives around this area or is visiting I would highly recommend stopping in and taking a look at the history of the city. The staph is very friendly and answered our questions that we had concerning the relics that were displayed.

A very nice museum for its size. It is small but they make very good use of the space that they have. The docent was eager to talk about Hemet’s history and had a genuine interest in it. He was very knowledgeable and he also grew up in this area. There isn’t an admission fee but donations are appreciated. There are exhibits about paleontology, the old train line and railroad, the Native Americans, the orchards and produce grown in the past, and old Hemet life. It was a fun experience. Expect to spend about a hour or so here.

If you live here at Hemet or San Jacinto, this is a great place to go to learn about the town's history. There's no real charge. They do ask for donations. Our little valley has a very interesting history and if you care to learn about it, this is a great place to give. The building itself has an interesting history

The Hemet Museum provided a panorama of local history. From fossils and ancient artifacts, to the development of its agriculture community, to the bulging metropolitan city it is today, the local museum presented a fascinating history. What a wonderful experience!

What a gem! I was delighted to immerse myself in local history and to share it with our eldest. I enjoyed the reactions to old school and student photos! As well as the "ooo's" and "ahhh's" at all of the old tools, technology, and telephones in particular. Such an interesting collection. And they have a lovely gift shop with cute keepsakes for fair prices. I'm so happy to have this museum here.
