Anyone who has been lucky enough to enjoy cafe culture knows how special it is to find a place with personality, a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, great service with huge smiles, and excellent - and great value - food and drinks. Historia, with its happy chatty regulars, and wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff, provides a level of comfort and a sense of community which is so rare in this area. Highly recommend the kouign Amman, a beautiful buttery layered almond or raspberry French pastry, crispy and flaky with a wonderfully moist and chewy center.

First time visiting so I was a bit nervous. The staff was friendly. I got a caramel latter iced and a plain croissant warned up. Both were good. Noticed half way while eating that the cashier/ batista is also bilingual. Loved his personality and the absolute care he gives customers. Personally I love to see it!

I was early for an appointment and was looking for an avocado toast and remembered this place had it. The food and baking goods are fresh and well done, met the owners as well super friendly. This is a place I will drive to go to.

If you have yet to try Historia Bakery Café in Thousand Oaks, you're missing out on some truly great coffee creations. The beans are perfectly roasted, and unusual menu items like Los Cubano (double shot with brown sugar and crema) and the Blueberry Lavender Latte are a real treat. Don't forget the actual treats, though. Omfg, the pastries. All are, in a word, incredible. The lemon bars are subtly sweet/tart, not overpowering, and the croissant creations are expertly flaky. Also fantastic are the breakfast sandwiches. All of this is enough to keep us coming back, but today we spent some time chatting with Robyn, the delightful proprietress. This amazing woman works 7 DAYS A WEEK, and her commitment shows in the warm atmosphere and truly spectacular food and bevs. Run, do not walk, to check out Historia! If you're not impressed, you may want to have your taste buds tested!

Gourmet pastries, sandwiches, and drinks that are also reasonably priced! The service is amazing and the people are so friendly. This is a gorgeous little community hub with top notch food. I’d support a wonderful small business like this over a soul-less chain any day!

I absolutely love this place!

Very clean, organized café with cute decorations and a charming feel.

Hardest part about this place was picking which yummy treat to buy! Robin, the owner, was very kind and helpful in giving descriptions and recommendations. Super sweet, down-to-earth gal.

I picked the apple turnover, apple Danish, and vanilla concha and they did not disappoint! Sweet, but not overwhelming and the breading is light and delicious!

This place is a hidden gem, and I am surprised that it has not blown up more in popularity! Support small businesses SoCal! ❤️

Cameron is amazing. He turned me onto the pretzel crossiant with ham amd cheese. Absolutely amazing. His service goes above and beyond anything ive experienced locally. I had my toddler with me and he made us feel at home.

I highly recommend visiting this little gem of a neighborhood cafe run by the young mom-and-pop team of Robin and Carlos. Robin has assembled a wonderful team for making in-house, hand-made cakes and pastries. The crepe cakes, cruffins, croissants, and cinnamon rolls are especially good. Carlos primarily works the front and is a maestro of cafe Cubanos - perfectly balanced and textured - even better than Miami ? He also makes mean sandwiches! Especially his avocado toast with goat cheese. They take customer service to heart and happily speak with everyone to solicit feedback. I also recommend one of their baristas, Cameron, who knows the "true science of lattes." His blueberry lavender latte and cappuccino were wonderful. Almost every time I visit I see the same regulars coming as well which is a testament to their consistently excellent quality and service. Carlos also runs a "friendly neighborhood" chess club with custom chess tables in front of the Cafe. He will happily lend a set and play with anyone interested if time permits. ? Great couple genuinely devoted to customer satisfaction. ?
