I love this little bit of history time frame. Thanks to the society for recouping the estate from the railroad to bring the historic reference back to the area.

We toured Traveller’s Rest for the first time today with Dani. It was an absolute pleasure! Out of all the historical places we have ever visited Dani is one of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides! She is friendly, personable, and professional! The home and grounds are immaculate! The information was presented in a factual yet impactful manner and was not saturated in opinion. It was a wonderful experience and we definitely plan on a return visit! Thank you again!

Traveller's Rest is a neat place to tour to learn a little bit Tennessee History. You can see where Andrew Jackson lived and conducted business, tour a one room school house, and the kids get to play with various old toys. The kids always love writing their John Hancock with quill pens. There's a cute little shop. The hosts are dressed the part. 10/10 recommend for history lovers, school field trips, and homeschool field trips. I did not get many pictures this time to show off the place.

So much history here! The tour guide was really knowledgeable. The house is in great shape! If you go during business hours and the gate is shut, call the main number and they will open it for you. I guess the gate is finicky.

We saw and learned a lot here. We wandered the grounds on our own first, with a map from the giftshop/check-in area, and then joined the next tour for an in-depth history of the house itself. Our tour guide -- Andy Blair -- was incredibly knowledgeable and very interactive, really bringing the stories to life.

I go to the Miss Mary’s academy camp that they hold during the summer, and it is always super fun. Everyone is very kind and educated on the history.

Dieses kleine Museum war sehr gut gestaltet und die Tour war sehr aufschlussreich. Unser Tourguide hat für uns beide sogar deutsch gesprochen, so konnten wir sehr viele interessante Kleinigkeiten sehen. Sehr empfehlenswert und supernettes Personal. Vielen Dank nochmals.

Our tour with Dani was amazing. Nice historic spot. Highly recommend. We were a group tour and our cost included a box lunch from Panera.
