This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! Very clean and building is maintained. The staff was very friendly, polite, and professional. The pool was wonderful. It was clean, warm, and welcoming. After a rough couple of days of traveling, it was great to learn that the pool was open til 11pm. They also offer a very tasty complimentary breakfast selection. Overall, it was a very pleasant and rejuvenating stay.

The room with two queen beds is an acceptable size. There is a Keurig type coffee maker in the room, a microwave, and a small refrigerator. The shower is strong and heats up quickly. The supplied soap, lotion and shampoo are in pump bottles, and they all worked fine. The breakfast is typical with cereals, oatmeal, pancakes, sweet buns, breads, eggs, breakfast meat and other items. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The beds are a little squishy for us, and the internet could be faster. It is quiet for the most part. We did have a heavy walker one night on the floor above us. The desk chair in our room relaxed back a bit too far and could use replacing. We did find a gummy on the floor in the bathroom so maybe a little more attention to detail when cleaning. We would stay again. Great Thai place nearby called Thai Valley Kitchen that is excellent.

We used to stay in Hampton Inns. But lately, Holiday Inn Express is outperforming them. For me it is the little things, the attention to details that impresses me. The rooms have exhaust fans in the bathrooms. The coffee cups are insulated. The breakfast selections are good. And the coffee is freshly ground for each cup. It was delicious. Two we enjoy are Mt Sterling, Ky, ask for an odd numbered room facing away from the interstate. Also, Winfield-Teays Valley, WV is excellent.

The drive over was beautiful and the hotel location added to trip due to all the shops and stores within a stones throw. The parking lot easily accommodated my very large Kenworth Box Truck. The lady at the check-in desk was extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about IHG procedures and amenities. The room was spacious, comfortable and relinquishing by way of peace of mind in it's cleanliness. The bed was very soft and relaxing. I recommend this HIE location to all travelers.

Wonderful stay On July 24th. Great service and when we discovered that our daughter had left a stuffed animal in the room, the front desk (Lisa?) was able to mail it back to us right away, saving our vacation. Would definitely recommend!
