I’m extremely devastated to have to write this review but I find it necessary to share if she has treated past patients or will treat future patients the way she did to me. I’m chronically ill. A diagnosis of POTS and multiple other ailments that affect my daily life have left me disabled. My life has been turned upside-down and I finally thought I found a doctor that understood me. I was notified in September by letter, a letter that was sent late — that I was being discharged as a patient (no reasoning was said, nor was money refunded) after I had just attended an appointment I ultimately needed to reschedule due to me feeling extremely ill in the patient room after waiting over 2 hours from the original appointment time. Of course I was patient. I get it, things happen. I tried to reschedule my appointment at the front desk (some people working at the front desk are also rude and say they will call back but don’t. They caught an attitude and seemed impatient with me when I didn’t have an automatic fast answer as to when I could come back in.) I told them that on top of feeling ill due to the wait time and sitting upright for so long, that I also had a funeral I had to go out of state for after. I can’t control these things? I explained that talking over the phone about a day I could come back in would be best and I paid money to reschedule (money that still has not been refunded.) After I left, each time I tried to call again to continue my care for the “30 days” of continued care the dismissal letter I received stated I would get, I never got a single voicemail or returned call. Now I’m suffering greatly with a bad infection I sought to inform her of. No other facility is open to taking new patients at this time and those that are, the appointments are months out. E.R.’s don’t help me and have always given me the wrong antibiotics and argue with me about the severity of my infections, usually refusing to do cultures of the bacteria and throw general antibiotics at it that result in the strain growing resistant to them and worsening. I also don’t want to risk my weakened immune system in an emergency room, hence why I thought I could get a call back to actually talk about the situation. This has shown me how sadly immature, unreliable and downright disappointing this practice is. I’m unable to get tests I NEED done to show my specialist and future primary doctor. The IV service that they offer, I gladly payed out of pocket for every single time and now I’m unable to get them (which help immensely with my main diagnosis.)
You should also be aware that this facility is not equipped to offer the volume of services they claim to provide. If you go in for IV’s you can very well be there waiting as long or longer than I did for someone who arrived hours before you.
I feel in all honesty like I was shoved aside and just told to deal with it. There was no time to prepare and as a patient that switched doctors to keep coming here, that was the biggest mistake I made. I never encountered this issue before at this facility. It seems since I had to reschedule appointments due to very unfortunate things happening in my life (i.e. my car breaking down, funerals etc.) she moved me off her list. I didn’t realize this was an arbitrary “2-3 strikes and you’re out” type of system. I was never notified of the “annoyance” meter I was approaching in place. I don’t think anyone has the right to treat anyone like this and just randomly strip away health care.
I would rather be told the truth than be forced to play phone tag and observe them purposely miss the 30 day mark by no one calling me back. This is not how you treat human beings. Due to the negligence of this practice I have suffered more. It hurts as well because I just tried calling again to settle this and once again I was told I would be called back and never was. I tried to avoid making this review, but I refuse to be treated this way.
