Angela greeted me, and was so kind and helpful! Dr. Wilson was also very kind and thorough. After examining me, outdoors, for the concerned safety of others; he ordered an antibiotic, and gave me his card with a phone number to call, even when we leave the island, he said…if needed! This office is very well run and filled with compassionate people. It was everything and more that I hoped for!

Dr. Wilson took great care of our daughter's foot. He was very good at keeping her calm and earning her trust. You can tell he and his staff care about their patients. He made our trip to the island much more relaxing. And he made sure we had all the supplies we needed before heading back to our vacation. This medical center is a credit to the community of Sanibel!

I had to visit this clinic while travelling from Canada to Sanibel Island in Florida. I was already very stressed from being ill, having to navigate my travel medical insurance, and was also in a time crunch getting to the clinic before closing. Technically they were already closed, but as the door was open I was able to go inside and explain what was going on. The staff jumped into action to help me. They were incredibly warm and friendly, setting me at ease. I received fast and efficient treatment. Dr Wilson offered me his cell phone number and encouraged me to call him if I was concerned about anything or had any questions. I was also provided with an email in case I had any trouble filing the medical claim and needed further information from them. The staff at the Island Medical Clinic turned what could have ruined a vacation into as positive an experience as it could have been, given the circumstances.

Had a bad asthma attack and got in right away. Dr. Wilson was fast and efficient and my symptoms improved quickly. The prescriptions were sent immediately and Island Pharmacy was great just like he said they would be. In my opinion you don't need to leave the island for excellent care.

I cut my foot badly on a rusted bbq grill. I couldn't get an expedited appointment with my family doctor, so I called Island Medical Clinic. They got me right in (in 20 minutes!). The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. The doctor spent significant time with me, answering all my questions, and ensuring that he had addressed all the issues. I was very pleased with the appointment and will go back.

I have been an island resident on and off for 27 years. My 6 year old was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I was supposed to take my son to his pediatrician for an evaluation and get a prescription to get this under control. Upon arriving at the pediatrician office for a followup, I was told that the insurance I had for my son was terminated. I called my insurance company as to why and it was because my son can't have dual coverage as my son lives in two states, Florida and Michigan. His Michigan insurance kicked in which in result terminated my Florida insurance. Anyways, now my son is needing medication and has no insurance at all whatsoever. I was out of luck and it turns out that now Dr. Wilson is a family care and medicine physician. This put me at total ease because I had seen him in the past for myself. Through some phone calls and the kindness of Dr. Wilson and staff, my son was able to be seen, evaluated and given prescription all at a low, affordable cost. Thank you all, and as soon as my children get their insurance straightened out, I am switching them over here as Dr. Wilson is already my primary care doctor. You are all amazing!

Dr. Wilson is fantastic. Personable, easy going, very smart, and very in tune with the needs of folks who are here on vacation. When my 90-year-old mother-in-law suffered a gash, he "glued" the gash together and that provided protection and enabled her to come home and swim in the pool (her favorite activity) and the antibiotic he prescribed didn't force her to stay out of the sun or have to abstain from her nightly cocktail! He and his PA's "bedside manners" were amazing and put her at ease the minute we walked in the door.

I did contact the billing department and I have talked to them and written to them many times about the $500.00 tetanus booster. I never saw a doctor, I only received a quick shot. BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE! They are continuing to bill me. August 2021! Oct. 7th 2020 I was swimming at Lighthouse Beach and was hooked by a fishing hook. I called Island Medical Clinic and ask to get a tetanus shot, I also ask what it would cost( I have medical insurance). I was told it would be covered by insurance and I owed nothing, again I was told I would owe nothing when I checked out.
I walked into the medical clinic and received a tetanus shot from a tech. This took 5 minutes. I never saw a doctor.
Now January 2021, I have just received a bill for close to $500 from Island Medical Clinic. My insurance did pay for the tetanus injection, but declined paying the added charges amounting to $445.05. I have tried contacting Island Medical Clinic without a reply. I have just filed an appeal. BE CAREFUL OF ADDED CHARGES AT THIS CLINIC.
