It was a fun visit on a lovely fall day. Some animals. Period buildings and a great black smith demonstration. An old school house with an informative docent. Very friendly staff and volunteers. A lovely rural setting inside the metro area. A pumpkin patch right now, too. And the entry is free!

What a great place to visit! One of our kids came here for a field trip and said it was cool, so we sprung a surprise trip here, and we all had a great time. Very interesting living history farm set in old Littleton with plenty of animals for the kids and demonstrations for us big kids! They also have an indoor museum about the area back in the day. Best of all, it's a FREE activity! However, they do accept donations, and I seriously recommend donating. It would be a shame if something like this were to ever shut their doors.

Amazing place to visit! We learned so much! The property, buildings, and the gardens are impressive. The interpreters were such a wealth of knowledge and the property is so clean!!! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Take a step back in time to learn about the history of Littleton. Walk through the original school house and real houses from the late 18 and early 1900's, and visit the blacksmith shop to see how they would make tools in 1903. Inside the main building you can see exhibits showing the history of Littleton and its evolution into the town it is today

There are animals to visit and look at including pigs, sheep, donkeys, chicken, goats, horses, turkeys, geese, and cats. The animals sometimes have babies that the kids love seeing and learning about. The staff and volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, making every visit educational and pleasant.

Our first time visiting this museum. It is a place to visit with kids. The museum inside is clean and the front desk receptionist Ms. Mary Ann is friendly. Our kids went over to talk to her about an outdoor cat we met while visiting the farm. They loved that cat so much that they were trying to see if we could adopt her if she belonged to no one 😂.

We came during the summer break on Saturday afternoon and the weather was pretty hot out there (+90 degrees). We were concerned that the animals were so heated out there especially the sheep because they were all panting inside the little shade with those heavy furs.

We did not know anything about the museum before reaching there, we had no expectations. To out utter surprise it was an amazing exhibition hall, cum museum depicting the industrial history of littleton. Most importantly the two farms are part of this museum. We loved the experience of wandering around two farm houses ffrom 1860 and 1890. I would definitely recommend visiting this museum for educational program or a visit. There are plenty of parking, easy accessibility, and restrooms for everyone to enjoy this museum maintained by the littleton city council.

Just a great place to go for a fun afternoon out. Good for young families with kids, or seniors like us. We were a little concerned about a visit in January - thought the outdoor farms might be closed for the winter, but everything was in full swing at the 1860 and 1890 farms, as well as the blacksmith shop where several nice gentlemen took us through what they were making at the forge. The history exhibits inside were great and enjoyed the newer theater where you can watch videos about the museum and Littleton history.
