What a cool place. We came here on an iffy weather day, but the rain never came while we were here.

Got to see the famous goats, the pigs, and chickens! Explored the grounds, looking at the ranch house and the community gardens. Love the history of the place as well.

Love coming here and looking at the history. They have a goat and pig pen. There is also an active (water) spring that is in a separate building. The Ranch House is past all the baseball fields. There is the range station/office within the ranch house. There is also an old barn/horse stable.

The scheduled tour of the ranch house was finished hours before we arrived so we just started snapping pics of the exterior. One of the park rangers approached and struck up a conversation. We chatted for a bit and he asked if we'd like to check out the inside. We were like, hell yeah! Nothing like a private tour of a historic landmark. Very cool of the ranger to give us a chance to explore.

After the tour, we wandered over to the goat pen and showed some love to the sweet Nubian goats that live onsite. I'll post pics below. I find something new to explore every time I come here. Recommended.

A couple cool goats and a few chickens. Visits during Covid are all about the hiking, booking and equestrian shared trails. Love riding at this local popular been for an outdoor escape and some beautiful healthy social distancing!
Be a difference maker and leave the place better than you found it, just by removing one article of litter. ☮️?

Beautiful trails, parts of it are stroller friendly too. There are 2 separate trails, 1 by the goat ranch (that's a flat trail) and another through the main entrance by the baseball field

Local , historical, and beautiful. Right off the freeway, lots of parking with big dips ,be careful and drive slow. You can have a picnic, play sports. Go for a walk around the park area or go on a beautiful hike a little over 3 miles to the waterfall or hike towards the Ranch House. Great place to take your dog and enjoy a walk together. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Beautiful scenery

It was very hot today but it was wonderful to be able to stop by this free attraction and see some farm animals. There were three goats, two pigs and a bunch of hens which was a pleasant surprise for me. I really didn't expect to see this lovely place in the heart of san diego. I'll definitely add it to my list to go back to when it's not so hot so my son can enjoy it some more
