What a positive experience. Lots of great things accomplished in this time- (sadly bad as well. Kennedy killed and Vietnam). But he fought for the needy and everyday man. Loved seeing the locations and hearing the stories. Beautiful grounds. I wish we were there in wildflower season.

Lovelyy well maintained state park. Was relaxing and beautiful! The Longhorns were awesome and spectacular ! 🤩 There were deer everywhere and they had a very detailed information center about LBJ and Ladybird 🫶🏽 If you are near Fredericksburg, TX and want to explore, this state park is well worth the visit! I hope to go back.

Lyndon B. Johnson State Park is a wonderful stop for nature and history lovers alike. Entrance to the park is free, making it a great budget-friendly activity. The highlight is definitely the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm, a charmingly recreated 1918 farm where you can see costumed interpreters tending animals, working the garden, and demonstrating old-fashioned crafts. It’s like stepping back in time! Other attractions include beautiful walking trails, picnic spots, and historical exhibits about President Johnson’s legacy. A visit here offers a unique blend of Texas history and natural beauty—highly recommended!

This lovely little park is not overly large and is the conjoined sibling to the national heritage site that was Lyndon B Johnson’s home and preferred “White House” for conducting business. Everything was beautifully maintained. This visitors center was full, clean, lots of snack , drink and food options, and free! We enjoyed birding and checking out the historical sites in an environment designed for mostly drinking alcohol this was a sober and lovely experience. Highly recommend for those that enjoy history , historical insight, camaraderie, ample space, and gentle walks. Personally we were there to do a little bird watching as there had been report of a pair of bald eagles and a rare all white wild turkey. While we saw neither, we enjoyed seeing the historical Hereford bulls and cows, the birds of prey, the well maintained plaques, and the easy to follow directions. Would love to return in the spring and see the infamous wildflower fields that Lady Bird Johnson so adamantly wanted to be maintained .

Pour nous, il était inacceptable de traverser le Texas sans voir ces admirables bovins nommés "Texas Longhorns". Le LBJ State Park & Historic Site en héberge quelques uns. Magnifique.
