We brought our 2024 Teacher Fellowship cohort here to start our tour following the trail of The Great Locomotive Chase. Amy was awesome helping us plan the trip and making sure they were ready for us when we arrived. Anna and Christa welcomed us and provided great historical interpretation and guidance as we toured the Center learning about the "Andrews' Raiders," the group of Union soldiers and civilians who stole the locomotive "The General" and launched the day-long chase back to Chattanooga that resulted in the awarding of the first Medals of Honor. The exhibits were impressive and informative, and everyone really enjoyed our time there. It was a fantastic way to start our tour. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this little gem! The Vietnam Black Soldiers Portrait Project was... I don't have the words, but the photographer did an amazing job.

I didn't realize that Georgia had so much gold in the past. All of Marietta's history seemed pretty interesting and the displays really helped bring it to life. There is a really huge and impressive gun collection in here. I spent about an hour here and definitely could have stayed a little longer. I like that the displays got to the point pretty quickly, there wasn't a ton of reading to do.

Also free for military with ID! Otherwise, $10 well spent.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here! The museum is huge, so make sure to leave yourself enough time to walk around. The man working there was glad to fill us in on the background of many relics. When you’re done with the museum, the town of Marietta has a ton to offer. Historic downtown is just steps away from the museum. Well-worth your time!

Marietta History Center was very interesting and enjoyable to visit. I purchased a Groupon and had no issues redeeming it. The staff were very friendly and were able to answer any questions we had throughout our tour. This is definitely a great place to visit with older family members/friends if you’re in Marietta Square.
