Absolutely loved visiting the museum - so well-kept, well-organized, easy to understand display, clean, and "free". We learnt so much about the little, charming town of Matthews. The Museum staff was very cooperative, showed us around and answered our questions. A must visit place.

The perfect introduction to the town of Matthews! The museum docents are super passionate and knowledgeable about their community, and the exhibits help tell the story of the town. Don't skip the videos if you have time - they're engaging and informative. Oh, and best of all, this museum is free!

A great place to take the kids to teach them some local history! This place is a little slice of awesome. We went on a free museum day and my 8 and 10 year old loved it. They have a little scavenger hunt and we were able to discuss the things that the kids saw. It will not take you long to get through and with little kids, that is a good thing. It is not a big date night thing, but if you take the kids to the library, they can see the train and the museum and have a nice little morning or afternoon of simple fun activities.

Fantastic place. Our guide was Michael and he did such a terrific job of showing us around and giving us great history stories about the Matthews area. The exhibits were interesting and the layout was great! Learned alot about Matthews during the visit. A must go for anyone in the area!
