Best attentive dr in this area. He is really concerned about his patients but won’t put up with anyone trying to abuse the system. Routine Urine test are performed every other month. If you don’t pass it you’re out and cannot receive your medication. He also does unannounced pill counts.

I loved doc and I trusted him until he pretty much ruined my life. There's an aide there named Frankie who is extremely disrespectful. At my last visit she was so rude to me and we kinda got into it. I got a letter in the mail THREE days before my appointment saying because of a personality conflict. So Apparently she's playing the victim and lying about me and doc won't even listen to my side of the story. Just kicked me out. And I actually trusted him and it hurt. I passed every monthly drug tests, always showed up on time for my appointments. I've become extremely depressed and am having suicidal thoughts. Thanks a lot Frankie and doc. 😔

Rating for my father. My father's been going to McGinnis for almost 30 yrs and now no pharmacy in the tri-state will touch any kind of prescription from him because he was involved in some shady activities but no one will give details. And my father can't get his prescriptions filled anywhere in the tristate. We've called everywhere, literally from ashland ky, louisa ky, huntington, barboursville, ironton, south point, etc and cannot get his prescriptions filled and Dr.McGinnis will not help my dad find a pharmacy!!! He has asked him several times since he can't find one, if he would help and McGinnis won't!!!!! He's a terrible dr! If anyone gets prescriptions filled could you please let me know what pharmacy you use?

Most amazing staff, atmosphere, and doctor. They are more like a family. Like if the show "Cheers" was a doctors office. I have a chronic condition my entire life and no doctor has ever cared enough to try to figure it out. No doctor has ever treated me as a person, but Dr.Mcginnis and Beth does. I'm not just a number, just a patient, or just a paycheck to them. They genuinely want to help. They genuinely want to give you a quality of life that's enjoyable. Most importantly...they believe me. These people have changed not just my life, but my whole families' lives. I could NEVER thank them enough. -Eilish

I was afraid for years to go to a pain management doctor bc of the stigma attached to it. But eventually I had to make a choice. I am so glad I did. Dr McGinnis and his staff are great! They take excellent care of their patients and I must say that the Dr also tries to help get to what the problem is that's causing your pain, not just treating the symptoms. THANK YOU TO DR MCGINNIS AND STAFF!!

Great people who treat you with respect and kindness, they always greet you with a smile and compassionate about your issues. Dr McGinnis has given me my life back. Instead of hurting all the time and being in a bad mood I can now do my daily chores with a lot less hurting which keeps me in a better mood and I feel like I'm doing my part in society. Can't thank him enough.

Dr. McGinnis is a wonderful doctor!!! His bedside manner is impeccable... But don't try to put one over on him because he's heard everything and won't be manipulated... If you don't have a condition that he takes care of he won't see you!!!! Excellent Dr!!!

Dr. McGinnis is a wonderful doctor who cares about his patients. He has a fantastic office staff and although the wait is sometimes longer than expected, it’s worth it to not have to drive two hours away to see another pain management specialist.
