We really enjoyed our visit to the museum. Very well organized with an array of artifacts, sculptures, paintings, and even an entire theater. We learned a lot about the birth, life, and death of Will Rogers- Oklahoma's favorite son. The gentleman at the entrance was incredibly informative, giving us things to look for and a thorough explanation of the setup of the museum. The gift shop was also affordable, so we were able to get quite a few souvenirs.

I was told that the Will Rogers Memorial Museum was a good visit, my wife and I did so on Sunday, November 3, 2024. The museum is a fabulous coverage of the man and his life.

With only an hour to tour the premises, I did not have nearly enough time to get properly acquainted with Oklahoma’s favorite son on a Monday afternoon in June (the day after Father’s Day, for the record). I did take the time to watch his roping skills in the silent film; how impressive he was at it! The unfortunate part of my experience and the only reason that I would not give it a five star rating is that when I stopped into the gift shop at 5 minutes before closing, we were greeted with this: “Jesus Christ!! I’m supposed to leave here in three minutes, so you’ve got THREE MINUTES!” The woman working the gift shop was so incredibly rude that I turned and walked out, not buying the advertised “Will Rogers for President” gift pack of which I had seen flyers for throughout the museum. I was very taken aback by her lack of hospitality and extreme rudeness, cursing Jesus Christ. She literally rolled her eyes as she was saying it, also. While I won’t hold that against Will, it was very off-putting to me on not only my first visit to the museum, but on my first visit to Oklahoma, as a whole. Honestly, it made me feel embarrassed that I wanted to buy the yard sign and was so excited to learn about an early twentieth century celebrity. With that being said, I would like to go back, but that exchange turned a 5 star experience into a 3 starred one. At least the lady at the front desk was wonderfully accommodating and full of good information.

Loved it! Wonderful place to explore and learn about Will Rogers the political commentator, the movie star, world traveler and private citizen. We especially appreciated the movie theater since these old films are hard to obtain. We were also pleased to learn more details about his tragic death with pilot Wiley Post. Great find! Highly recommend for a day out with kids or grandkids or out of town visitors.

A must see atop on your travel adventures. I did not know too much about Will Rogers going in,but left with a great appreciation of the man and his life. Just a wonderful museum that dives into incredible detail about this amazing, kind, humorous and thoughtful man who helped shape the early part of the 20th century in the US.
