The lights in the exam rooms are a bit intense but my visit with Dr. B was thorough, gentle, and supportive. She listened to my concerns, respected my identity, and recognized my bodily autonomy.

I have had a great experience seeing Dr. Patel for primary care. I recently moved to the area and have seen her twice and so far it’s been nothing but positive. I feel like she listens and actually cares about you being well. Scheduling has been easy and check in on the kiosks are also easy.

Today's office environment is considerably more hectic and sometimes frantic but the staff here does an excellent job from beginning to end. Anyway, I rarely see MD's when I come here as I have an APRN as my primary care physician. All good!

Had a very good experience with the staff including front desk. My doctor I established care with was Dr. B, who took an hour of her time to thoroughly go through my medical history and understand my needs! She ordered blood work, a vitamin D prescription as soon as my test results came back showing I had extremely low levels, and a physical therapy referral that called me as soon as I got back to my car! Thank you so much for healing the past traumas I’ve had with other very bad medical offices.

Most of the front desk staff at this office range from rude to downright dangerously spiteful. They have a policy that patients 10 minutes late need to be rescheduled - stringent but fair. However, they will tell you that 7 minutes late is too close to 10 to be seen. It is very clearly a power trip. I needed to be seen due to miscommunication between a doctor and a nurse (which is becoming a common theme) and I was given a run around until the doctor came out and apologized to me for the issues. Calls to refill a prescription are met with misinformation and a phone hand off of about 5 staff including one who cold transferred me while I was talking. I understand front desk service is frustrating and overwhelming, but working in a patient facing role requires empathy and patience.

The doctor I see seems like a great doctor, but clearly there is a breakdown of communication OR she doesn’t keep up with her notes. I’ve never felt so alone in my care, and I recently had a very serious medical emergency and resulting emergency surgery.

Both my mother and I have become patients here with two different doctors. We have both felt that high quality health care has been delivered to us. We are able to get in to see our Doctors when we need to. The Middlesex system is very efficient and very organized. Everyone is working off the same immediately updated medical records.
This is a busy practice so the Doctors move quickly but we have never felt that we were unusually rushed but you should always have your ducks in a row and be organized when you see any doctor.

Two stars were only earned for the convenience factor as MHS has a very effective networking system in place so that if you attend a walk-in or emergency room, everyone stays in the loop. They were also very thorough to follow up after visits outside the primary office, etc.
The following information is based on being a patient at this office for over 2 years - not from one single experience.
The billing department of this establishment is exceptionally rude and not helpful in the least.
During my time here I saw two different doctors. One of whom became increasingly more difficult to see after her office days went down to 2 a week. I was almost denied a prescription refill due to an exam that had been postponed about 4 times do to HER schedule changes. She was judgmental and did not make me feel very "cared for".
When I finally gave up trying to see her, I saw another doctor who I thought for sure would be better - but nope, she was worse. Even MORE judgmental and extremely condescending in her tone. My husband also saw the same doctor and had very similar opinions of her.
This is definitely the kind of office where you feel more like a dollar sign than a person. They have very little concern for your wellbeing - they only want your money.
