Not sure what the bad reviews are all about. My dad currently resides here and we couldn't be happier with this facility and the care they provide him. Very kind, friendly, caring nurses and employees that are very responsiveto our questions or concerns. They provide great meals and always have activities for the residents to have fun and unwind!

I love Mint Hill Senior Living! I think that they are very under rated! As being one of the only community around the area that hasn't had covid in the building. That is very impressive! The staff is absolutely amazing! It is because of their dedication to the well-being of our seniors that they have been able to keep covid at bay! We as a community need to show more appreciation to them! Would give 10 stars if I could

I would strongly caution anyone away from considering Mint Hill Senior Living or ANY Affinity Living Group facilities. My father lived at Mint Hill Senior Living for 5 months during the first half of 2019 before being evacuated with all of the residents. Residents were told they could only take 5 days of clothing and toiletries and that they would return in 4 weeks. Three months later, MHSL is still shut down and is being investigated by the Dept of Social Services. We came to find out that they failed their fire inspection so many times without repairing it that the fire marshal shut them down and kept firefighters on the premises for two days until they evacuated all of the residents. My father was moved to Meadowview Terrace of Wadesboro, an hour away. We learned that Meadowview costs $1400 less per month than Mint Hill Senior Living, but we continued to be charged the higher rate for his care. When I requested a refund, I was told by the director of MHSL that she would check, but no matter how many times I call and email her, she never has a response. My dad has medical needs that required weekly medical visits at the facility, and he was not seen the entire month and a half he was at Meadowview. He was also not given his mail the whole time he was there. We were thankful to find a spot at a better facility in Charlotte for him. I feel terrible for all of the residents who don't have people who can advocate for them and would like to help any family members avoid a similar situation with Affinity Living Group facilities. As me and Jasmine Jackson went to take grandma things to her. Her CNA told us how she just be out in the halls just cleaning up. Cleaning the water fountains picking up the trash off the floor I said grandma I know your room is spotless hunny! And all she can do is laugh. But at the end of the day I thank god she is still able to move around and eating good! AND I MEAN EATING REAL GOOD. Thank you mint hill nursing home for taking really good care of our girl.

Dirty inside and out! Every time I go I haft to clean her room and bathroom vacuum change her sheets ect.... New staff every other week. I've bought three sets of sheets for her bed after a month I never saw them again. No assistance from staff with her bathing. One day I found her bathing with paper towels. I was told wash clothes and towels where on order?! So much more I could add but it would take me a week..... Beware!

How about tending to your phones when someone calls... I've been calling for days trying to get in touch with one of your residents and all the phone does is ring and ring and then hangs up. No one ever answers, there is no voicemail to leave a message on and after so many rings it just disconnects. I tried sending a message via the website and have not received a response. I don't know what's going on there, don't know whether the resident I'm trying to get in touch with is okay. This whole situation is extremely frustrating!!! Luckily the person I'm trying to get in touch with will only be there a few more months and then he will go back to Meadowview Terrace in Wadesboro. At least I can always get someone on the phone when I call Meadowview!!!!

This place needs to be shut down from the inside of the general cleanliness of facility also to the staff every time we come to see my stepmother the staff are sitting on their phones and all the patients are in the cafe just sitting around no action sometimes we come and the tv isn't even on so they just have the patients sitting there from the first time I’ve ever visit this place up until now where they just recently notified my wife that they moved her mother on Monday June 24,2019 to a different location (sister property is what she was told however the lady that gave her this information didn’t even know what staff was taking care of her mother she couldn’t even give a name she went on their website and read off her exact words : well it says here online there staff is and listed the names but never could tell us exact who her mother was with and where all of her belongings are they told use that they just took a week worth of clothes and today is June 26,2019 and we are just hearing about this why weren’t we notified !
PEOPLE PLEASE BEWARE THIS PLACE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES THEY HAVE NEW STAFF ALMOST EVERY WEEK THE ONES THAT ARE THERE AND HAVE BEEN THERE ARE OVERWORKED!
I will be reporting this to the local news and BBB to investigate all of these things to have the place shut down .

So recently the place was SHUT DOWN BY THE FIRE MARSHALL AND DSS due to unsafe living conditions. And mint hill senior living called the move due to “summer camp “when in fact it has nothing to do with that they weren’t in compliance with the safety of these patients that there should tell you something about the place . I’ve recently reached out to news station and the state also the bbb to have this place completely shut down they shouldn’t be able to open nor operate after these circumstances.
