An absolute delight. They took a tour of four adults and our volunteer took all of our questions seriously and was very conversant in the geology of the area and the history of the museum. I loved how much of the exhibits we were allowed to touch and the guide never made any question feel silly. She was able to respond to the question at the level they were asked, which ran the gamut from small and silly to quite detailed. I personally enjoyed the story quality of the footprint presentation and the baby dino stuff was new to me and was a lot of fun.

A solid gift shop, with good geology books. I recommend the roadside geology series. We picked up some magnets, fun mugs, and some great memories. Would definitely go again. The absolute best part was the opportunity to use the tool to excavate an actual fossil from a rock. My inner paleontologist was very satisfied.

What a fantastic gem in Morrison! We decided to check this out without knowing much about it. Although small, you receive a wonderful and very educated tour guide to teach and guide you through the museum (Thank you Anne Marie!!). The exhibits were beautiful and the environment was ready for enthusiasts of all kinds! We recommend this to anyone who loves Colorado history and dinosaurs!

Fantastic experience! Don’t let the size of the building fool you — this is a remarkable collection with a great visitor experience. Mr Doug took me and my young children on a tour of the entire museum. He was so kind and engaging and we learned so much. Such a special experience to get to touch real bones and fossils! We even got to try out paleontology in the lab!! Unforgettable experience, a hidden gem!!!

What a wonderful place! We brought our kids here for an afternoon stop, and it was much more fun and informative than I expected. We had a great guided tour with Doug. He was extremely knowledgeable and was very engaging about about the fossils and Colorado history. If you enjoy Colorado history, this is a perfect spot. I'd recommend going when it's less busy to get a nice individual tour!

This is a very nice little museum. They provide a very informative tour with plenty of hands-on opportunities with casts but also real fossils. My group was led by Matt Clark. The highlight at the end of the tour is seeing the lab and getting to try one's hand at fossil extraction. I'm already a dinosaur buff, but I still came away learning something new, namely the lineage of mosasaurs. The gift shop is stocked with really cool toys, souvenirs, and literature. I'd definitely recommend the stop if you have kids.

I randomly stumbled upon this place and decided to check it out. So glad I did! The docent, Walt, was incredibly warm and knowledgeable. I was impressed by the quality of the collection, and Walt let me use an air scribe to chip away at a rock in the collection. I felt like a giddy little kid and came away with a new appreciate for paleontology. Worth every penny.

This museum is intimate and so interesting. We had a great tour from Anna, who was super knowledgeable about all the different pieces. It was like having a private tour. Loved learning and experiencing this collection.
