Gorgeous building! A wonderful blend of the history found throughout Richmond and current day trends/modernism. The staff were so helpful and friendly. One of our new favorite places in town!

The best library in Richmond Indiana. 😋 The staff are friendly and helpful. They have some great services. You should check out their website for all of the community events that they host. If you live in the community you can take advantage of the digital services too. I have been able to download audio books which is a nice resource.

The first thing I noticed and experienced is the wide variety of services they offer. I recently went for a free consultation with an attorney and it is going very well for me.
This is more than just a place to rent books. They offer modern computers with Internet access and a copier to use. You can rent small appliances, games, movies and more. There is a place for teens that has a Wii and Xbox for entertainment but more importantly a place that is safe, supervised and away from negative influence with no adults allowed (this lines up greatly with my beliefs).
My first visit was fantastic and every experience following with the friendly and informative staff, clean location, and the vast array of services available to the public.
I don't think I've ever been to a library in a small town that is so well stocked and modernized, ever.
I was under the impression the library was a dead experience but now I see just how useful it can be with all the services that are right there, down the street, in a centralized location with no barrier to entry (if you follow the rules for renting of course).
I believe if there were a list of best libraries in the state this one would make the top 10 easy.
I feel very fortunate to have such an excellent location right nearby within walking distance.

Everyone is always very friendly and so helpful! They are always ready and willing to help. Theres always someone floating around if you have any questions and no one gets annoyed when you stop them to ask. A lot of places I go employees get mad when you stop them to ask for help. Not here. They love to encourage reading. They are great with kids and always have fun activities for them. Crafts and all kinds of stuff! I love the library! More people need to read ❤

LOUDEST library I've ever been to in my life. It was literally impossible to get any work/reading done in this library, due to patrons and staff, alike talking so loud. It sounded more like a party than a library. One guy was talking on his phone, using speaker phone, for over half an hour! I started to ask a staff member to ask him to be more considerate, but, several of them walked by talking just as loud as his was. If I come back to this library, I will 'not' sit in the open areas. I'll reserve a room or use a study room; otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this library to anyone looking for a traditional "quiet" place to read, work, or study. Unbelievable...

I LOVE my local library. They have a good selection, were really thoughtful about their COVID-19 response, and have other services available, like cooking gear, games, and projectors you can check out.

Everyone has been super nice and helpful with me and my daughter(age 3) with us being so new to the area and the library. I also love all the different activities/events that they hold and can't wait to actually participate in some!
