Hopkinsville (Christian Co.) is full of history and the museum does a fantastic job displaying it. I learned a lot about the Black Patch area and how it’s come to be. Very knowledgeable staff and events galore.

We loved this place! Very neat and informative! Spent only 5 each for our tickets and stayed for about an hour. I absolutely loved the display of Bell Hooks and Edgar Caycee!

This is a very informative museum on the history of Hopkinsville. It is interactive for the kids and the kids at heart. I left with a need to delve deeper into some of the historical events that had occurred in Hopkinsville, all because of exhibits within the museum. The curator the day we went was also fantastic and super friendly!

Informative & fun…history of tobacco farming told with the racial conflict elements included—educational! There’s even humor here (the giant pancakes)!

Very cool stuff and extremely interactive. There's a door with peep holes to look in and see a circus, button board to play songs from old artists in and from Hopkinsville, a psychic game with a can phone situation, and so much more. Please try to find all of the little goblins hidden around the museum. Loved it and the person working today was very cool and helpful.

Very nice little town museum. Lady was real nice but a little unfamiliar with exhibits. Only thing around with a section about the Alien attack in Kelly. Would have been more fun to have some more about that. Grandkids had lots of fun with the treasure hunt.

June 19,2020 Friday. The Pennyroyal Area Museum is one of the best city attractions in Hopkinsville. It use to be a post office in 1915. Despite its small size, it is the only museum in Hopkinsville with African American history and Edgar Cayce exhibits. The $5 admission fee was very satisfactory. Hillary and Alissa, the museum staff, were very nice and helpful. I greatly appreciated the museum kit provided to me with pencils, postcards, a recipe card, and museum tokens to use. The museum is very interactive and child friendly. I love reading the weird and wonderful facts exhibits throughout the museum about the goblins, the Nightriders, the blackbird invasion, and Blind Mary. The Edgar Cayce exhibit was my favorite. I spent most of my time there. If you go to the museum, make sure to write on a museum postcard there. The museum will provide the post card, a stamp, and mail it for you. One of the unique features of the museum is the blackbirds flying all over the museum and perched on random places all over the museum like the ladies bathroom. Membership is $25 and gives you a year full of free museum admissions and discounts. I may seriously consider buying membership.
