Dr. Jacobs is very nice and did try a bit to determine what was causing my symptoms, but he knows absolutely nothing about EDS and doesn't have a good eye for reading imaging. He wouldn't order the upright MRI I asked for because he didn't believe it would show anything additional. I ended up going out of state to see a neurosurgeon who immediately saw multiple issues on the MRI that Dr. Jacobs called normal. My neurosurgeon ordered the upright MRI (without me even asking) to confirm his suspicion and it did indeed confirm a very serious condition, and my neurosurgeon was able to get to the bottom of my symptoms.

If you have EDS I would suggest you go elsewhere to find answers, simply due to his lack of knowledge in the area of EDS and neurological comorbidities.

Less than impressed with this place. It has been extremely difficult to find a decent MS neurologist. Dr. Jacobs seems nice and knowledgable enough but his office staff is one of the worst I’ve dealt with. It’s a miracle if you manage to get a call back. Suzie seems to be the head receptionist but she tends to go on vacation a lot, without warning. I resorted to calling Jamie, the office manager. Thankfully she actually called me back. I tried to kindly tell her how difficult it is to get a hold of someone and rather than taking accountability of the staff SHE MANAGES, she put the blame on them. It’s baffling you never hear any phones ringing in this office. There’s four women that seem to just sit around on their phones. They seem miserable and unpleasant and don’t give two cares about helping patients. My last appointment was a complete waste of time and could’ve been done virtually. This office needs to get with the times and communicate through their patient portal. I waited about an hour to be seen. 30 minutes of it was spent waiting in a chair in an in-between area to be seen. Why bother calling me back? Another doctor had to alert Dr. Jacobs I was ready to be seen. The best part was discovering I was blatantly lied to about him having reviewed my MRI scans…which I had dropped off TWO months prior to my appointment! There is no excuse for this, it’s a tiny office! He ended up reviewing the scans right then and there which took another two minutes. I was there at least two hours. I then discover the wrong MRI was ordered and I still don’t know why I have to have ANOTHER MRI done within a year’s timespan….sigh. This office needs to get it together. Answer the phones, be kind to patients and COMMUNICATE!

He is the Best neurologist with whom I have ever worked. He not only diagnosed me with MS immediately but he told me that I have secondary progressive MS a full 6 years before neurologists in my native Connecticut would even agree that I had MS and 10 years before the ones up here said that I had secondary progressive. He is a genius with a wonderful bedside manner and I have sent 2 friends to him for neurological testing. Great MS doctor and better overall neurologist.

Dr. Jacobs is a very good neurologist, he took the time to do the testing and to listen to my complaints, to diagnose my MS, when 2 other neurologist brushed me off. However, as a patient it would be nice to speak to someone when you call the office. Every time I call I have to leave a message for someone to return my call! Most often someone does return my call within the same day but it is quite frustrating when you have been diagnosed for 3 months and have not been able to start any treatment! Leaving messages does not cut it for me! Dr. Jacobs has been great but this is not right!

I was referred to Dr. Jacobs by my PCP. Received a call today from his office wanting to know about my insurance. The lady I spoke with was rude and curt. They don't take my insurance as primary, only secondary, therefore, no appointment. I'm fine with that. Contrary to his website that mentions friendly and courteous staff, I am not interested in going somewhere that is rude during the very first phone call. First impressions are everything.

Dr. Fairbank seen my when I was going through on of the worst times of my life. I felt horrible on a daily basis due to migraines. Ony first visit she took the time to hear me out about what was going on with me. She made me feel like she truly cares. By listening she got my headaches fixed then. On my follow up visit she she took her time to go over everything with me and explain to me as many times as she had to until I could understand exactly what she meant. I have never felt so comfortable and confident with a doctor in my life!! I just want to thank her and all of the staff at the office. Because they are all great.

I have NO IDEA how good this doctor is because I spend 2 days trying to get a first appointment and staff was horrible I had to actually beg to have the new patients coordinator to get on the phone after 2 days leaving messages and no body calling back. Once I got hold of her she was rude and said I needed to have a written referral and the doctor will check that and in 3 to 4 weeks they would let me know if the doctor gave the ok for me to see him and then it would be 4 to 6 weeks before I actually get an appointment. Not worth the hassle. If that is the experience before I see his face, I don't believe he cares enough to avoid people pain. to expect me to wait a month to find out he would not take my case is funny....and then sit and wait more than a month again. my pain is now. I am not going to wait to be worse in 3 months.
