This was my first trip to Brazil and I’m so glad I came with NY jazz workshop. I play guitar but really never played jazz and by the end I was able to play a bossa nova song with a band in front of a local audience… a really wonderful experience especially if you are shy about playing. Not to mention all the sightseeing and great music performances and cultural immersion. This is a fantastic group and Marco is a great tour leader. I’ve met some wonderful people both in the group and local people who they have connections with. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn about Brazilian music or just having a desire to see Brazil and have an authentic and fun experience! Thanks so much!

Eight days in Salvador. I had heard that Brazil was dangerous, so I was scared. Despite our late flight, Marco welcomed us warmly without sleep, which made us feel at ease. The owner who looked after us was very cheerful, and many of her close friends from the neighborhood came to visit, making it even more lively. Every day was filled with laughter, conversation, fun music, and dancing. The members who joined us for the first time were wonderful, and we quickly got along with each other, and they were worried about me when I was not feeling well, so they spoke to me. The delicious food, kachasa, and wine made us even more excited. The most active person was Pao, who is loved by everyone and is known to everyone in the city, and he led us on sightseeing and taught us music. His impressive hairstyle made him a very memorable presence. Finally, I have posted a picture of me doing capoeira.

The Tuscany Jazz experience was exceptional. Great music, incredible instruction/teachers, amazing accommodations, fabulous food and Tuscany. What else could one wish for? ❤️🎷🇮🇹

This tour was a dream come true .
Since my twenties I’ve wanted to visit this magical world heritage site and play music with Bahians’ ! Everything I had heard is absolutely true . Everyone is a musician !

We had a nice mix of workshops ,playing music, jamming ,touring around and days at the beach .
The folks at the cultural center and workshop leaders were so infectiously warm and welcoming !
A special thanks to Marco for leading the way and making us feel safe and comfortable !
My journey into learning about the true originators of this music has just begun !

Studying jazz music with world class artists under the Tuscan sky is a life-changing experience. From the incredible vistas to the amazing food and wine, every detail of this workshop is thoughtfully prepared. After a week of instruction, balanced by visits to historic sites, shopping and dinner in one of the nearby cities and the camaraderie of lounging by the pool or walking in the vineyard, the concert on Friday brings together musicianship and friendship in a truly magical night.

Amazing instructors who care deeply about their students and provide amazing opportunities for jamming sessions and performances with other musicians. They are so patient towards jazz beginners but are equally qualified to teach and inspire people at intermediate to advanced levels. They have helped me strengthen my knowledge of music theory, build skills for improvisation, and become a more confident vocalist. Love them so much! <3
