I went to the ER for kidney stone pain. I ended up being there 4 days. I must say the nurses are great! They really made me feel comfortable during my high pain. For an emergency, they were great. Nice private rooms. The food sucks, as all hospital food does. Plan on a family member bringing you food. I gave 5 stars because of the great and caring nurses. Vicky, Emma, Grace, Myrna and the other nurses who helped. Thank you so much. Your caring really helped me through this 🙂

I’m a 70-year old male who was brought to this hospital by EMT and I have to say that my experience was fantastic from start to finish.

The doctors, nurses, and techs were all absolutely wonderful. I truly felt that I was getting the best possible care.

My hernia surgery went without any complications whatsoever and the tender care that I received from all the nurses and technicians was just great.

Speaking for myself I would highly recommend this magnificent facility to anyone needing any kind of special care.

Thank you kindly,
Grandpa Fred

Last Thurs I called the GP office abt a sinus infection. Was told to not put it off and go to urgent care or come in the next day but that there were no Drs available-only a nurse practitioner. From previous experiences with their urgent care I opted to see the NP. She was nice but called in an antibiotic my insurance doesn’t cover. My pharmacy and I have faxed/called the office several times and no one seems to be able to remedy this. I was told it cld take 2 days to get a call back. I was going to send a msg via their mychart-but appears they will charge my insurance for any inquiries..what?! So here I sit feeling horrible having wasted $ on medical copay, my time going to the appt, to the pharmacy, and back home…for nothing. They were so adamant I be seen right away but take their time to respond or ensure I get the correct medication. FU: after several more calls to them I was able to finally get the correct medication that evening. Days later I’m feeling up to reading the after visit report and see that I was prescribed meds for 10 days but only 7 days of antibiotics were called in. I called the office to ask for the remaining 3 days of meds. I was told to come back in to be seen. WHAT?! I’m definitely not coming back

My 69-year-old mother visited the ER at Northwestern Huntley for constipation and back pain. Instead of addressing her actual symptoms, the ER doctor—Dr. Peggy Schutte Banks—told her she “probably has cancer,” based on vague CT findings, even though her lab work was normal and her oncologist had cleared her just a week earlier. The doctor made this alarming comment without compassion or confirmation, and without discussing the actual test results.

This caused my mother unnecessary emotional stress and left us without help for the symptoms she came in for. A DO trained in emergency medicine should not be making a cancer diagnosis without proper testing or referral. Extremely disappointed in the handling of her care.

This hospital was much closer to our house than our former which is why we chose it as the spot to have our second baby. The experience was great with attentive nurses and expert care. Leanna in the labor & delivery dept was especially helpful.

The cafe only allows one meal for the husband per day, but the food isn’t all that great anyway… it’s hospital food, what can you expect ?

Great place to labor and deliver.

When I sustained a TBI the ER staff refused to do a MRI until my mother forced them to. I was showing all signs of injury to the brain and couldn’t remember what happened 2 minutes ago. Staff is dismissive. Bad protocols and/or bad adherence to the protocols.
