Algunas opiniones destacadas

"Such a great museum full of interesting history Perfect for all age groups, honestly. We were very happy at the amount of “hands on history” displays where the kids could interact and bring the lesson to life. Admission was very affordable, even having a family admission rate We spent about 4 hours here and could’ve stayed longer if we read all the information in each exhibit. Even on a Friday, there were not very many people crowding the place, and the free parking lot is expansive and easily located."

Came in with my sister for the 1st time recently and there were maybe 1 or 2 other people looking around. Was quite pleasant. Went during the weekday. Free parking.

The military is free with ID. Otherwise wasn't expensive to walk around, took us about 2 hours to walk through.

Very cool History Museum! Loved the pink kitchen. Lots to see so take your time!

The Oklahoma History Center has several exhibits showcasing everything from the state's economic history, Native American culture, to its contributions to space exploration. Takes roughly 2-3 hours to see all four main exhibits but it well worth the time if you're interested in Oklahoma history

When my fiancé now husband and I toured the Oklahoma History Center (OHC), the events coordinator did a superb job answering all my questions and questions that I didn’t even think of yet. He showed us all the floors and provided potential layout ideas. It was a warm and welcoming environment. I loved the open layout and all the natural light in the Devon Great Hall. From that moment, I knew we found the perfect venue for our wedding reception. Moreover, I received a list of preferred vendors, which was extremely helpful for me since I did not have a wedding planner. I will say, if you do go about this route, hire a wedding coordinator to execute your day of event. Since the OHC was already familiar with the listed vendors, most of them provided discounts since the OHC is a preferred venue. Additionally, I booked this venue a little more than a year out to secure the date that I wanted. The OHC can provide uplighting in your choice of colors all throughout the halls and technical support if you would like to have a slideshow played. They also provide tables and chairs. The other decorative items will need to come from a vendor. There are as well lots of ideal locations inside and outside of the facility for photos. The museum parking lot is free too and had plenty of spaces, which our guests appreciated.
Ultimately, the replica of Wiley Post’s world-famous Winnie Mae airplane overhead and the view of the State Capitol are all too stunning.

The Venue Supervisor, Scott Parker, and his staff are phenomenal to work with. He’s responsive and helped execute a wedding reception for the books. We are so grateful to them. Overall, if you decide to have your special event here, you will not regret it! I can’t say enough of how wonderful and smooth our event went. Every photo at the OHC by our photographer was breath-taking. The photos in my review are by our amazing photographer, Casey Williamson.

I loved all the content, mainly how they used a lot of interactive screens and video presentations. It’s ideal for people of every age group! My main complaint was the organization of the exhibits; at times, it was challenging to follow along and know precisely where they began or ended. The Oklahoma economic impact and Heroine exhibits were my favorites, providing a great perspective on what Oklahoma contributes to the world!

Just down the street from the capitol building in a beautiful building, the Smithsonian affiliate History Center was worth the visit. We only spent 1.5 hours and should have spent 3 hours to get to dive deeper into the excellent exhibits. As someone from outside Oklahoma, I particularly liked the Inasmuch section and how risk takers and entrepreneurs impacted the state and its people.
