Stopped by during my roadtrip, and I am glad I did! This is a nice museum to visit. Very friendly staff, and a wonderful display if history.

I had a great time. The museum is mostly about the confederate country during civil war times, if I were a confederate supporter then I would be proud. But the tour guide let me roam freely an spend as much time an take as many pics as I liked. She also had a pet raccoon which was awesome. I give it 3 stars because it could use some funding, and it was mostly about the confederate.

A great history museum for Selma and the surrounding Dallas County. A great many interesting artifacts with much provided information. I can honestly say that we were blessed by our visit. Low cost admission. Highly recommended.

Selma's history runs deeper than just the Civil Rights movement. The items on display span the life of this great city. The renovations to the building will take you back in time and make the museum seem alive. The back yard has an old caboose and old foundry items. Also out back, a wonderful display of the old Fire Department tools, pumps and trucks. It is well worth the money and time and a must visit when in Selma.

This is a true community museum. A view into the complete history of Selma, Alabama. Great artifacts and photos from the past. Museum Director Beth Spivey is a straight shooting tour guide that adds another reason to visit this incredible museum.
